As was the behaviour of a sizeable number of ours unfortunately.

It is always the way but the only poor behaviour mentioned in the media this morning was our fans.

Moaning about the refs in the aftermath of a defeat just looks like sour grapes but can you blame us when they've been so woeful.

Additionally, as much as I despise the NW mob there can be no argument that their numbers and hostility has an effect on the linesman.

Sadly due to the layout of TFS we just don't have that ability to, ahem, influence the officials to a similar degree 😒

Any statto's able to pull together penalties awarded to us shooting into the North Stand as opposed to the KM (when temp seating hasn't been used)?

Okay, point taken about crowd numbers. However, since Higdons winner in 2009 to escape relegation v ICT, we don’t get the job done.

The relegation decider v Killie.

3 play-off “campaigns” have failed when we went in to them with confidence.

2 national Cup Finals when it was there for us on the day.

2018/19 double header v Alloa and Morton would have gone along way to decide our destiny.

Raith Rovers game in the Covid season.

Two Dunfermline games this season.

We won at critical times after Cadette, but after Higdon??

We're due a playoff win this year. Please please please

Surely the issue with that, is that since Higdon you haven't had very many very good teams? Without knowing the story behind them all, but for allot of the games you mentioned did you not need to win at critical times to put yourself in the position of getting to those games?

It's sore losing cup finals, but you need to win critical games to get there.

For the Kilmarnock game did you not finish second in the league and beat Hibs in the playoff?

It goes on and on. It's something I've seen discussed amongst Dunfermline fans, our lack of bottle to win bad games over the past decade. When in reality it's not bottle, it's purely and simply that the games we've lost, we tended to just not be the better football team. And over the past decade that's been really pronounced because we've been absolutely pish.

Killie game we were also completely knackered after putting everything into the two games against Hibs.

The Championship - Premiership playoff system is completely fucked. To go up as 3rd or 4th placed team you have to win 3x 2-legged ties which is a joke. To avoid relegation you only need to win 1. League 1 - Champiosnship is so much better. Realistically should be top 2 up, bottom 2 down or bottom two guaranteed down, 1st place - automatic promotion, 2nd and 3rd play over 2 legs

And the first leg against Killie themselves tbf

That was like us last season, the 2nd leg of the Arbroath game and the 1st leg of the St Johnstone game killed us.  We were never winning in Perth in a month of Sundays.

The goal that wasn't simply adds to the frustration of how things have played out in the games against Dunfermline this season. Out of the 4 goals we've lost. One was a silly penalty given away by Henderson after todorov had crossed the ball out the park. One was a free header at a corner, one we now know wasn't actually a goal at all and one was a horrific back pass. So 3 gifted by us and one gifted by the officials. On the other hand Dunfermline though don't gift you anything.  You have to do it the hard way against them. Our only goal was through decent football it wasn't a defensive mistake we had to work for it. You can't expect to win leagues if you gift your biggest challengers goals in the big games unfortunately.  It's a pisser that the officials made a complete mess of it and who knows what may have happened if we'd held out a bit longer. The goal certainly spurred them on but we also have to look at our own performances in these games and we really can only say that we've played some decent stuff in about one half the first half of the first game at east end. Otherwise we've been disappointing.

So, the play offs it is. Of course, our record in play offs isn’t the best, and we haven’t had any success via that route. If we do it this time, it’ll be a first.

It will be a first for our management team too, as McGlynn hasn’t won through the play offs either. I think it’s four times he has taken a side into the play offs, and hasn’t won any of them.

Hopefully this time……

Thing is, the SPFL take a significant slice of play off game revenue, so they will do nothing to lower the number of games, and will do nothing to lessen 11th place chances of staying up. It’s a rigged system.
