Just says he’s returning to the B team as that’s where he was in previous years. Not good enough for their first team so this is where he’ll be for now. I suspect it’s compassionate leave he’s been given and much easier to do that if he’s been recalled.

I bet he doesn’t kick a ball in that B team

Think the more pressing issue is getting two strikers in sharpish. At least one minimum before Saturday and who is ready to play. Don't want to run the risk of dropping points in one or two games that we can ill afford because we don't have anything up front. It was fortunate that Nesbitt popped up with two goals on Saturday.

Journalist thinks

They are recalling a player who is not first team ready. He must be going to play in B Team then. Lazy journalism at its best

Agreed. I very much doubt the journalist even knows that Juan returned to Colombia last week.

This Mick Beale character seems like an absolute used car salesman so who can say really. Having Alegria playing in the LL makes precisely no football sense.

More to come on the story most likely.

I’d be very surprised if he’s going to play in the B Team given since 2020 he’s mainly played first team football in Finland then at Partick then us.

I think we'll be fine against Clyde with just Burrell & Oliver this weekend.

No need to rush into anything, would be nice if we did bring someone in before then but not the end of the world.

Agree with the first bit, but its not fortune that Nesbitt scored. Its what he should be doing. Henderson allowing him to push on might be a contributory factor but its what we expect of that position. Lawal does it. Nesbitt needs to be the late runner into the box, the guy who shows up unmarked and takes his chances. Hopefully we have stumbled onto the formula that finally makes him that guy.

The reason I have to feel not too afraid without Alegria is the potential for extra bodies in the box. Rowe brings balance, him and McCann should be getting in the box. Nesbitt Morrison and Kennedy too with the protection offered by Henderson and McGinn.

That's the Jambos signed another striker…

I'd be pretty surprised if an enquiry has not been made to Hearts with regard to Henderson. I'd also be pretty surprised if numerous other clubs have not also made the exact same enquiry. He is clearly not going to make the breakthrough at Tynecastle.

If there's one player I'd like to see us bring in this month, it's him, without a doubt.

We were close to getting him at the start of the season, but think they wanted to keep him as back up. Odds are we will definitely be talking to hearts about him.

I’m sure it was talked about after the game on Saturday, I’ve not checked tbf, and I’m not saying he’s the answer but I thought Gary Oliver played Sean Dillon better than any other of our strikers he’s come up against since we came down. Dillon usually has the cigars out against us but that was the first time I can remember being ratted and struggling.

We absolutely do need another striker in, I’d have been looking for one even if Alegria had stayed, but I feel in the odd game that Oliver might have a part to play and role to fill as a striker. Big issue is of course that he just doesn’t score goals.

Totally agree, I thought Oliver was pretty good on Saturday and didn’t get the praise he deserved.

That's what I thought aswell. Unless it's a permanent deal, be the only way and we are skint. More chance of him signing permanently with Dunfermline if they were prepared to make Niall McGinn an offer before he went to Glentoran.

Could do worse!

Hearing we are talking to Mochrie and Frizzel

Assume those 2 would be pre contracts for next season as doubt either are leaving the clubs this month?
