Looked good, got up and down the line all day, put in a few dangerous crosses, was denied the goal after a few minutes but it was really hard to tell whether or not it actually was in. Hard to judge on his debut, but he certainly had a better grasp of his duties than either of our centre backs. The referee clearly doesn’t understand the laws of the game. At no point did Donaldson leave the field of play because at no point did the ref make it clear to anyone that he had given Donaldson permission to leave the pitch, so Donaldson was within his rights to get back into the 6 yard box. The ref booking him for doing so showed that he didn’t have a clue what he was doing. Put in a really good ball just after we scored the second which McGinn should have done better with. Weird game, overall felt we deserved the win. They had their chances, we had ours to win more comfortably.
