With the addition of Rowe and the expected departure of Hogarth the below is currently how our squad is looking.

McGlynn was just in the herald talking about wanting a right back and a striker so hopefully we'll see some further movement on the striker front soon. We could also do with another midfielder, especially if Lawal's going to be out for a while and keeping a hold of Kennedy & Alegria will be crucial this month.

Sneddon's been a regular in his loan at Berwick so hopefully they'll keep him for the rest of the season or take him permanently. A fair few others on that list we'll hopefully manage to move on.

Goalkeeper
PJ Morrison
Paddy Martin

Defenders
Blair Sneddon - On loan to Berwick Rangers
Ryan Williamson
Brad Mckay
Leon McCann
Paul Watson
Liam Henderson
Coll Donaldson
Sean Mackie
Blaine Rowe

Midfielders
Stephen Mcginn
Callumn Morrison
Steven Hetherington
Aidan Nesbitt
Craig Mcguffie
Seb Ross
Finn Yeats
Pearse Carroll (A)
Lennon Walker (A) - On loan to Bo'ness United
Scott Honeyman (A) - On loan to East Stirlingshire
Kai Kennedy
Ola Lawal

Strikers
Rumarn Burrell
Gary Oliver
Juan Alegria
Finlay Malcolm
Kyle Connolly (A)  - On loan to East Stirlingshire

So FC Edinburgh v Fife on Saturday. If Edinburgh win they go top, played off the park at Airdrie for first 30mins, then Airdrie by all accounts imploded. We’ve got a decent run of games coming up and hopefully claw back the current deficit.

With the two games in hand on Edinburgh (to go level with them) and a game over Airdrie and Montrose, this run of games is an ideal chance to pull away.

If we could start beating some of these teams, Edinburgh excepted, we would pull away naturally.

Around thirty players albeit a few youths. Hoping that a good few are emptied and if some can get released this window, all the better.

Sure McGlynn will want see squad numbers reduced next season.

If we are still in league 1 next season I think it's an absolute certainty we will be running with a smaller first team squad. Definitely think we need a midfielder and a striker in this window if we really want to at least get a play off place. Think McGlynn hoped he could maybe have kept Hogarth in one of his interviews but that Forest had "moved the goalposts" which they are entirely entitled to do he's their player. Be interesting to see if Rangers do similar with Kennedy and Alegria. Hopefully not.

Ideal, assuming we could actually string together a WWWWWW sequence; which going by our 50% win rate to date would be something of a long shot, to put it mildly...

Scott Burns saying we are after Callumn Morrison. What's he like?

I believe we have him under contract until 2024 so you'd be paying a fee for him.

There's a player in there but he's incredibly frustrating, he's quick, direct, loves trying to beat a man 5 times, he's also prone to having a shot instead of playing in a teamate in a better position. Very much a confidence player, when the chips are down he's non existent.

8 goals and 4 assists for us in the league this season so far.

Could be some traction in this, BBC sport reporting that McGinn leaving, so winger out winger in.

We need to keep him if we have any chance of going up. If he goes it’s back to McGuffie out wide 😢

That depends on what happens with the money we'd get.  If it allowed us to bring in a centre mid, a striker and a replacement of suitable quality then it might not be a bad move. However, if the manager doesn't see any of the cash or spends it on shite then you'd rather keep him obviously.

Not necessarily, Burrell can play wide. If I remember correctly he started right wide against Dunfermline at EEP and gave their full back a torrid time.

It’s not a difficult decision to sell Morrison if the right deal is in place and we don’t lose the two Gers guys. A worldly 90 minutes (maybe 45 mins) every six/seven games isn’t good enough. McGlynn knows we’re not in a great position financially, but knows that cash to bring in two+ players could be the difference to winning the league.
