Agree and surprised with the following statement;

However, season ticket sales only account for around 15% of income, so there’s still plenty more to do. In particular we need to pack-out hospitality and see a healthy return at the gate, strong retail and bar sales, as well as continuing to sell more advertising and sponsorship.

Nor is the fact we are planning to “reduce our annual loss” to £400k this season which implies it must have been even worse than that last season.

That figure was mentioned over a month ago at the FSS public meeting. It’s not changed and the money from the League Cup has helped a little ( £50k). The projected loss is not good but it’s been discussed on here several times.

We had money for one more loan signing, McGlynn had intended on using it on another attacking player until PJ’s injury. Obviously that changed the priority and the funds had to be spent on a goalkeeper. Squad is still carrying a lot of dross and is far to big, we must have the biggest playing budget in the league and the only way to utilise it now is by forcing some of the shite from last season out one way or another to free up wages. Must be a really frustrating position to be in for the manager.

Disappointing that we’ve not shifted one or two pieces of shite. Can’t argue that we’ve now spent our budget as PJ injury is part and parcel of what football brings. Needing another 33 repeats of last weeks showing…….

Don’t understand the reasoning in signing up Hogarth till the end of the year. Great to see the young lad playing for his home team but if thats the case then would have been better bringing in an emergency loan and saving the money for elsewhere.

Depends how serious PJ’s injury is, we haven’t heard anything yet. We just need to trust the managers judgment here

This is why I can’t understand the criticism when any of us point out the issues with how things are displayed on the website or how well advertised they are. Other revenue is obviously important so have to make it clear and easy for customers to invest.

Yeh that is surprising. Thinking of it, it shows how well the commercial side does or that the season ticket sales are possibly made up of more child tickets than we would think?

So the club played for a full season with no crowds and didn't touch the £500000 to pay wages. What are they paid, jelly totts.

They were long ball merchants every time we played them and Devine and Broadfoot had the cigars out every time.  They were the most direct in the league.

Every time I've seen them as a Raith fan the tactic is to kick the best players off the part with a succession of players doing it to try to stop them being booked.

I had decided not to go on Saturday due to how bad other supporters have said Meadowbank is so I forked out for Falkirk TV but theyve just tweeted saying they can't broadcast the game either. Bloody hell! 

Clubs are no longer allowed to stream games live unless you live abroad.

I don't think that figure's correct. If we've sold circa 2200 STs at, let's say an average price of £200, that equates to £440,000, meaning that our total income would be close to £3,000,000.

I can't see where we're getting that sort of income from, unless they're referring to the years where we got big transfer fees and add-ons?

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of previous year's income.

Long ball or not, they still scored the most amount of goals in the Championship last season and conceded the second least. Wouldn’t mind that!

Shite they may be but they also have a contract of employment which has to be honoured by the club unless the player and club come to an agreement on a pay off.

2300 STs x £190 (rough average) so 15% is around £430K ?

I was wondering that too however do they include U12 tickets? Would imagine any parent who has kids U12 would purchase one on the off chance the kids want to go. If they were included then maybe the average is a bit lower. Even then it still makes for a lot of money coming elsewhere.

We didn’t say it wasn’t effective, we were disproving the statement that they played ‘the best football in the league’. They pumped it long to a fucking brute who layed it off to McKenna for shots at goal.
