Simon Murray & Poplatnik the only two rumoured so far. Hoping we can hit a winner in the Centre Forward lottery this time, feels like its been a while since we’ve had options up front that have been any good or offered anything different, maybe since the Houstie season that we had McHugh, Baird and Miller as options
Senor Bairn
Euan Henderson from Hearts would be good

It is tiresome. You are the “yes but what if brigade”. I can tell you it isn’t personal. If it was I certainly wouldn’t be replying on a forum. I don’t know if he did find Mills but since he is the scout my assumption that is his job. The new guy from Raith I don’t think is a scout in that sense but more someone who reports on the opposition etc etc. SD will correct me if I am wrong though. Think since the new board came in I've only really been critical of DGW and LG and I certainly wasn't in the minority. In fact in the last few days I've been praising the podcast, Swinney, crunchie initiative but let's not let the facts get in the way.. You've gone from 100% everything is sh*t to 100% everything is rosey. The reality is always somewhere in between. Hopefully there'll be more for us all to celebrate than criticise in the season ahead.

I terms of now Rennie didn’t work out but at least we were not committed any longer than 6 months. I hope someone asks the full story on DGW this week. That needs putting to bed. LG was Rennie and nothing to do with the Board.
Springfield
Hoping the lull in announcing further signings is now simply a case of players still under contract and players returning from holiday. Looking forward with some optimism to renewing season tickets. (Was back in Falkirk yesterday and had a walk round the stadium, parts of the stadium desperately in decline, certainly needing the front facade painted)

Wonderful irony that our “new” stadium is described as “desperately in decline” when a large proportion of the posters on here get a stiffy at the mention of Brockville! Shadwell Dog
The signage is badly needing either replaced or fixed. Something should also be done about the old astro pitched. Complete eyesore having just been left to rot.

RC55 FFC
I’m not sure “desperately in decline” is the right phrase but their are parts of the stadium that just need to be looked after better. Even just cleaned would be something. And it’s not all the council’s issue. Club - Seats need cleaned/power washed & in some cases replaced (I know the club are repairing broken seats currently for the concerts but football is just as important). South Stand toilets are poor (no idea about Main stand ones) with no hot water, rarely toilet paper or paper towels considering the hand dryer is the equivalent of a puff of air. Not sure if this is club or council, would wager it’s the club, but 18 years at the stadium and we STILL have temporary metal fencing up is really tin pot. And it’s not even kept well at that. Council - Navy pillars outside the main stand could do with a lick of paint as mentioned & the external signage lights barely work at all. Both the main stadium sign & the FFC badges at both ends are either out or partially out. The old 5 a side pitches need flattened as is just an eye sore & looks like a place that people go to pump shit into themselves or let their dogs empty their guts. Considering the stadium does most of the Helix/Kelpies parking on non match days, you’d think they would want to give a good impression of Falkirk as a town to the thousands of visitors every week.

Even if it’s just a bench spot. Especially if we ACTUALLY look to use him in the role he succeeded at with Alloa. -
Russ
I think Hetherington will get a chance tbh. Even if it’s just a bench spot. Especially if we ACTUALLY look to use him in the role he succeeded at with Alloa. Was he not used primarily as a ball winning/box to box midfielder at Alloa? He has shown absolutely nothing at all that would suggest he could perform in such a role. If McGlynn wants to keep him around then fair enough but is much rather he was punted.

I presumed he must have been groundsman or worked in the office to succeed at alloa.

Ball winning midfielder who then gave it to someone talented (Hetheringtons own words at the end of season do I am told).
