The Falkirk FC Thread

Apparently the club tried to identify the individual concerned but the CCTV footage wasn’t clear. The person who received the abuse said she didn’t know the person involved and she knows a lot of our regulars. I agree regarding banning the person involved.

I'd like to know what the idiot was thinking about and what he felt she did to merit his abuse. Of all the people to abuse last season she would be last on the list. Twat.

Hopefully a striker as unless they are a loan the vast majority of decent options get swallowed up early on.

Simon Murray & Poplatnik the only two rumoured so far.

There's a guy that posts on our FanTalk message board who seemed to know a helluva lot about Poplatnik during last season. He put a post up on Friday saying Falkirk had offered Poplatnik a deal which would have made him the highest paid League 1 player by miles and that Pops has turned it down. No idea where he's off to, suspect down south.

In cases like that I wish the person was reported, and banned for years from the club. Don’t think many would have complaints.

I remember at Montrose away last season (the 1-2 game) the usual culprit was laying into young Mills (on debut). Was uncomfortable as f**k. None of his mates said anything.

Who is this ‘usual culprit’ and what can we do to fit rid of those types from our support ?

I know it's not Falkirk related anymore but anyone heard where Telfer's off to?

For Falkirk related, anyone heard who's signing themselves up for the navy blue pound next?

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up with the ex Falkirk fraternity at Queens Park.

Coyle's just emptied a fair few of them, only Robson & Longridge left if they accept contract offers.

Ian Murray liked Telfer and tried to sign him last season. Heard we were interested in him again this season but not sure whether that's still the case now McCabe is the manager.

Some other gullible crowd, reeled in by the 'Utd paid cash for him, so he must have something' myth.'

I used to go to Dundee Utd home games around the time he joined (I had just moved up to the area and had some friends who were United fans). He genuinely looked class back then. Although, looking back, he was surrounded by excellent players which maybe made him look better than he was.

Sadly even the navy blue pound cant compete with the English leagues and their wads and wads of sky cash

Raging 😂

Good one. I’ve wanted us to let him run down his contract at Stark’s well before McGlynn left for Falkirk.

Both John McGlynn and your new manager Ian Murray obviously don’t go along with that same train of thought then? 😂

No, probably not…

But of course you know better than two experienced football managers. Fair play.

John McGlynn gave a two year contract to Nando Mendy. He’s not infallible. Our strongest CB pairing last season was Berra and Lang and I prefer Musonda to Bene. For me then he’s 4th choice, but if Musonda is away it maybe does make some sense to try to keep Bene given Lang and Berra’s injuries, I do get that but I do think we can do better.

Bene’s been a great servant, been around since McKinnon, but he’s become very inconsistent in the last 2/3 seasons, he’ll stroll one game but then have a couple of brainfarts and cost us a silly goal the next, he’s become liable to costly mistakes. A real feature or our season has been losing leads or not holding on to draws, we finished comfortably top of the first half league table this season, and bottom of the second half table. Plenty of factors surrounding that but I thought Bene’s decision making really did cost us quite a few of those points last season.

I’m not claiming to know more than two experienced football managers but I think it’s a reasoned opinion.

I’m terrible with names so not gonna name something that may be wrong. Think I’ve regularly seen him down the front of the KM Stand (first time saying that 😀) too. Maybe he’s known as a cult hero, not sure.
