Just see it differently but I would only invite someone to apply if I didn’t think the other applicants were up to it. Would also only invite someone I wanted to give the job to as wouldn’t want to build up false hope or waste their time because if you do that then it may affect applicants in the future.  
 

Not like it’s a case of showing what they can do before they can get the job either.

I doubt asking someone if they are interested in applying/interviewing for the job is going to give anyone false hope to be honest especially when your doing it to more than one person and candidates will be aware of that.

It’s maybe because it’s not a situation I’m used to with regards to work. I just haven’t heard a situation in football where people are asked to apply instead of asking them for the job.

Thomas Orr has rejected a contract offer from Stranraer in favour of an offer for another team.  Could do a job.

Matthew Aitken at Albion Rivers also yet to renew his contract. Would be a potent front pairing.

Tiffoney will go to Thistle. McCall was on the radio last night downplaying Turner at Airdrie so another probably going there. And they just signed Holt the ex QoS player.

Orr's off to Stenny with his old BSC boss. Not seen any of Aitken but I'd rather see us sign someone on the up who's out to prove themselves than a championship haddy who's looking for his last full time gig.

Just depends on whether thistle want a to pay a fee I suppose. Not sure how a year down here has affected their finances . Was quite surprised when I found out they only had 1200 season ticket holders last year. Won't be ridiculous amount though as he's only been at livi a couple of years.

Cardle has always caused us problems in the past. But knowing our luck he'd sign and instantly look like he's done. I don't think he'd sign for us anyway, I don't think we ever were flavour of the month with him since his Dunfermline days. 

The first sentence is why he would certainly come to us. We are bound to have a reputation among players as an easy last wage. They all know eachother, they all talk. Guaranteed we get talked about as the semi retirement home [emoji19]

Surely can't make the exact same mistake as Gow and employ someone because they've been here before and therefore have an infinite love for the club. I don't doubt that Rice probably has a special place in his heart for Falkirk but that doesn't make him right for the role.

jees. appreciate it's only a couple of accies posters but I thought they held rice  in higher esteem. 

having said that hes just taken them down a league so am guessing it's not surprising they wouldnt be positive. 

I thought he played a decent brand of football and was good at motivating and promoting youth. 

just shows how difficult a decision it is to pick a manager, especially when you are rummaging around in the 3rd tier

I was speaking to someone the other day who knows Gerry Britton quite well and apparently Partick would have been utterly fucked if they didn't go up this year.
