The Falkirk FC Thread

Big day at TFS today surely.... must be time for another Really Good Meeting with the players, watch back the video to see how we "just weren't at our levels", and then the tactics committee can start planning for the next few games...

It would just be typical of our board to leave them in charge for the rest of the season. Should have gone after the Airdrie game, then they definitely should have gone after the Cove game at the weekend and now they have absolutely no reason not to sack them after that performance last night. We're no longer top of the league so there's no excuses left get them fucking gone.

Mcracken in his interview making out now we're not top of the league it'll give us an extra incentive to go win games sums up how inept they are. Shite signings, shite tactics and a undecisive board have us where we are this season. Yet again we only have ourselves to blame. Really not looking forward to Holt taking charge either as he's shown in the past with us he's not got what it takes to win a league.

Never felt as low as this. Well maybe a couple of cup finals but this is up there.

I see little hope this nightmare will end as there is virtually no confidence in anyone at Board Level, that resides on this side of the pond, having any of the skill set required to turn this around.

Fans are sick to death of being talked down to. Sick to death of being taken for mugs. Sick to death of the jam tomorrow promises.

Football is made complicated by people with absolutely no gut feel for what is right or are brave enough to make the correct calls at the right time. They analysis it to death, talk for weeks on end and achieve sod all. Our Boardroom is full of this type of consultant.

Appoint the right manager, he will recruit the best players within your budget and ensure he plays a brand of football that attracts people through the door. 3-5 is 90% of it. Win football matches.

Hot tubs, community partnerships, Curry clubs, cross bar challenges 50/50 money grab, root and branch reviews, it’s everyone’s else faults, moaning about other clubs,...... We are all sick of it

We have no instinct at our club to do what is right. If we did the South Stand would already be branded Kevin McAlister.

I for one have had my fill of them over the years.

Give us our club back and end this nightmare for us all FFS please.

🙌

Thats Houston, Hartley, McKinnon and now M&M where we have watched this off a cliff decline at the end of tenure whilst we wait on the board to act. Genuinely unsure whats keeping them tbh.

Its almost like they dont know what they are watching, or that it hasnt been obviois for weeks that we were clinging on to top spot due to the others not performing.

A wee run of form for Partick and we have absolutely been exposed.

The best we can do now is hope for some sort of new manager bounce for the run in. Whether Holt can give us that, coupled with some attacking impetus is up for debate... Whats absolutely beyond debate is that M&M will lead us to 4 pumpings.

I just hope our fans come together and don't give them ST money until we see real change, it is the only way to make the powers that be sit up and take note. Talk is cheap, we have to show them we have had enough and aren't going to accept this anymore. Some might say we are only hurting the club but it's less damaging than what these b*****ds are doing to our club.

Alex enjoy your retirement and enjoy!!!

That’s the difference between Kilmarnock and Falkirk. We shipped Totten out when it was obvious he wasn’t good enough for a big club. Two trophies and 25 years of top flight football since then whilst Falkirk rattle around the lower tiers.

Delicious.

Funny you've had a lot worse managers than him since for such a big club.

One of the worst managers we’ve had in the last 20 years absolutely schooled Falkirk best manager in the play offs a few years ago.

Probably our worst season since Totten left and that was probably Falkirks best season this century - smashed by Lee Clark’s Kilmarnock in the end.

The Italian boy, Gary Locke and Lee McCulloch were far worse than Clarke. Not to mention dyer who was completely out his depth like our pair.

They can’t even use the ‘it’ll cost us a fortune’ to sack them analogy. I’d rather pay them their wages they are on now NOT to be there. Holt is the best we can get at short notice and CANNOT be the long term solution here but needs must for now.

100% this, cost will be the same to say goodbye at the end of the season as it is to keep them On the books on gardening leave.

Is McCracken that utter loser who played centre half for you in the 2015 cup final?  He was 42 year old or something at the time?

Yes, the one who bottled out of taking a yellow card for the team and let you guys in to score your second goal.

On saying that he was a decent player for us  over the piece  and in his day  far better than anything ICT or Falkirk currently have playing centreback .

Aye that's fair. He was decent enough. Was the same with Dods when he came, loads of folk thought he was past it but he was solid enough.
