Very poor second half.
We'll look a lot better with Connolly and Alston in for Leitch and Gomis.
Big worry is the defence and how easily Dunfermline were able to adapt to nullify us as an attacking threat.

Hopefully in league one we will dominate a lot of games and our defence won’t have much to do.

First competitive game back and we've got a few key players out injured so i'm not too disappointed. Key takeways from the game, everything we do well this season will come through Morrison, Hall losing his man twice at corners cost us that game so hopefully M&M get another centre back in soon and finally Gomis & Dixon will struggle to see out full games this season both were absolutely knackered after 60 minutes tonight.

We should have had a penalty before half time but they should have had a goal 2 minutes into the game as that was a mile over the line so you win some you lose some. We didn't turn up second half and Dom Thomas ran the show, luckily we won't play against anyone anywhere near his level this season. Todd looked good when he came on but left mid looked unatural to him as all he wanted to do was cut inside.

Bit concerned that our management team didn't act to combat the pars second half formation change sooner. It turned the game on its head and we did hee haw about it.

Gulf between the sides second half but Falkirk looked decent last 20 of the first half but that was it.  Expected more from Falkirk overall to be honest though. Big budget in a low league must be worrying when Partick are in your league.

Agreed he was out of position but even at that he looked miles ahead of Leitch who was a lost wee boy. Anyone any idea what's up with Connolly?

No really. Still got 2 or 3 players to come in and it was our first competitive match in 7 months.  17th is when it really counts .

We have 2 rookie managers , we just have to accept they will be lacking in certain abilities until they gain that experience & knowledge.

This is the path the club have went down for better or for worse. It worries me that we will be up against a wily old fox in McCall this season. It is what it is and we just have to back M&M.

The club has the right to buy any shareholders shares who wish to sell before anyone else. Part of the constitution

Yeah that makes sense. Gives them an opportunity to block the next Hamish Deans from gaining too much power, without committing them to spend cash reserves they may not have.

Started slow for first 15 then bossed it without looking too threatening , should have had a pen but the one off the line for them at the start was iffy that var might have given for them. Second half looked like Crawford had gave them a bollocking as they controlled the second half pretty much. Our defence really needs a very good leader as Durnan and Hall couldn't keep wains out a close. Keena should have scored with the header and should have had a pen. Plus points Morrison looks a player given space, totally nullified second half. Keena and Dowds will cause plenty problems for league 1 defences,  Gomis and Miller same old.. not got the legs for 90 mins which is why I hope Alston can stay injury free, and he's injured at the moment. Mercer no pace but ok with what's in front of him. Thought we kept McManus quiet and O'Hara still looks no better than when he was with us.  That said be surprised if Dunfermline don't make playoffs this season look a decent outfit.

If there was ever proof that football needs fans it was that game...almost had no ill feeling towards them at full time. They were a bit better than us and should be top half of champ.

Mercer for Doyle is strange. 2 CBS not up to it. Miller and gomis a bit of worry but Alston back with connolly should help that. Top 2 looked decent.

Not reading too much into it, glorified friendly given we haven’t played in 2 weeks. Hard work starts now and I’m glad we’re up against a team that will sit in on Tuesday, much better preparation for our season than our games against Dunfermline, Ayr and Raith. Have we learned nothing from last year’s pre season?

You were nowhere near us.

Dunfermline the better team but not by a huge amount.

O Hara the same player that he was with us, lots of effort but no end product.

Would expect them to be top half Championship and surely we will be more creative with Alston and Connelly in the team.

Our defence though...
