The Falkirk word of the day is: Scunnered. s-c-u-n-n-e-r-e-d. Scunnered.

So very true. Only 5 league games in and I'm totally scunnered.

If we don't win on Saturday the 3 words of the day are "F*ck Off McKinnon".

Expect the unexpected. We will turn up and play like Brazil in 1970 and Doyle re creates the Carlos Alberto goal and we go home happy.

I wonder how aware McKinnon is of Raith supporters concerns over their centre backs being a bit of a shambles?
Will he target their known weaknesses? I reckon not a snowball’s chance in hell will he go for broke. More sit in, and loads of Dixon backspin diagonal crosses.

We’ve just signed Steven Anderson on loan from St. Johnstone until the end of the season. Interesting to see if he will play tomorrow though...

Out of interest, when have we sat in this season ?

I thought it was the fullbacks Raith had problems with

Other than Dumbarton and Montrose, we really haven’t looked like a team with a bias for scoring goals. Peterhead Airdrie and Clyde were all pretty cautious performances. You could make a case to say we threw everything at Clyde after going behind, but it would be a pretty weak case.

We all know for his own sake, he is back in his “ffs don’t get beat” mode. Maybe a cup competition will bring something new.

I have been a Bairn for over 40 years and would have labelled myself as a "Diehard" having went home and away to every game  including pre season and every diddy cup match. I decided after the 2015 Final i could not put myself through the hurt anymore and decided to fill my Saturday's in other ways. I have been back on a number of occasions, but find myself asking "why" by half time every single time. The facts are that Scottish football is garbage with the standards dropping year on year, you can't tackle any more and the passion has gone. Falkirk fans watch an uninspiring team playing negative "let's not lose" football in a stadium that has little atmosphere. I read these pages everyday and have recently notice more and more diehards have, or about to give this habit up! This is worrying times for the club with neither MSG and Lex or MC the answer. From the outside looking in, it feels like we are witnessing the slow death of our club, with nothing to attract people back, or replacement fans to replace us. Sad times indeed. COYB.

They weren’t cautious IMO. They were very much affected by a lack of direction on how to open up a team that wants to keep it tight. The problem is middle to front, more emphasis on the middle and the complete lack of ability to be creative enough to create chances. 11 goals between Sammon and McManus shows they know how to score. But the service in those away games was non existent.

I dont think we performed well against Montrose, if it wasnt for a freak goal then it really was a similar performance to the recent two, when you know around 60+ mins you are not gonna score. Dumbarton brought probably their worst game of the season and adding to that tried to go toe to toe with us and were too open.

I dont think we have sat in at all, its just Ray is clueless in how to attack from defence or midfield to the final third and that's what is killing us and not by sitting in, yes teams are sitting in against us and will defend deep but c'mon only an idiot didn't see that happening, so you plan with that in mind to building a squad and Ray hasn't.

The Robbie Mutch interview last week said it all for me in how training must be with Ray at the helm, I couldnt even listen to it all

Given we currently have exactly 16 players healthy or able to play tomorrow (today for you lot), and 8 are defenders, I expect we'll hang back a bit and clog it up.

I think in McKinnon's eyes playing either 4231 or 433 is attacking to matter what happens  on the pitch. He just doesn't have the ability to get us playing with regular attacking fluidity.

Anything we do this season is going to be from having better players than the opposition and that moment of better individual skill with little or no help from the manager.

Is there any point though? We haven’t won an away game in three attempts, although we have only conceded one goal. Big issue is that we have scored exactly none.

Lose today and that's pretty much the final nail in McKinnon's coffin for me.

I think it will be the last straw for the majority, but not for all, and certainly not for the people who employed him.

Besides, he will simply say that it allows us to concentrate on league business.

I never buy this “it’s only a diddy cup so no bothered if we win or not” attitude. It’s a competitive game and I want my team to win. Different if we were playing a team from a higher league or so but we should be going out to win this. Lose today and it’s the final nail in McKinnon’s coffin for me.

We are over estimating the squad. Poorly put together with no variety in midfield.

You can tell it is wrong when they have been scrambling about this week to get more players in.

Personally wouldn’t trust McKinnon with another penny
