Surely a new couple of signings or so today. Surely we won’t train with 10 players tomorrow.

this would do nicely... falkirk-fc-pre-season-squad-photograph-1st-july-1972-alex-ferguson-EJNBXJ.thumb.jpg.aea685d327f6e99b4c7a084e7373fa6f.jpg

Great time to be a Bairns fan.  The Willie Cunningham era is the gold standard I have measured every squad since. Happy memories !

Goes into the category of, i'd be underwhelmed signing him in the Championship but is a great signing in L1. No complaints here at all.

RB (!!!), CB and a ST and we've got our starting 11. Be interesting to see how McKinnon approaches signing players outside of the XI as there's been a clear mid/lower championship level of signings so far.

Ooft. QOTS, his hometown club and in a league above, in for him too - but the lure of the Box Office Bairns strikes again. Massive. Bet it was our huge home crowds that won him over.

You've given a 2 year deal to Fattie Bell? Oh my!

He'll be fine as a starter in the seaside league and a steady backup for next year in the championship.  Wouldnt want him starting in the championship though if he's been kept out a side by Conor Hazard.

Apart from those listed in the statement a few days after the season end, everyone was out of contract. That included McKee and the other players not mentioned such as both Mitchells, Dunne, Diakite, Jarvis (Jason), Langan, Reekie & Young.

I'm not sure of the reason for the omissions.

I am sure that as none have been announced as having signed up again, they are no longer Falkirk players.

We currently have nine players with more to be added when an agent picks up the phone and says "we accept". Whether any of our former reserve players have received offers and will rejoin remains to be seen.

Reekie played in exit trials a few weeks back but as you said no mention of release.

You would have been better going down the Morton route again and signing Gaston rather than Bell.

Gaston is still a solid keeper and Bell looks past his sell by date

He's already signed for Arbroath

That’s my view on it.

"Hamilton Academical are to give Camelon striker Kieran Anderson a chance to impress in pre-season training after the 24-year-old scored 47 goals for the East of Scotland League club last season. (Scottish Sun, print edition)" - BBC Sport Gossip column.

Get him in ffs.
