Craig_FFC
1339168186[/url]' post='6314274']Good player, didn't get much game time last season as Boyd and Munro were that impressive. Will do well for Falkirk as he is very good at this level. Cheers for the money. What Money? We have no money. Spain
Good luck to the big fella. I quite liked him and thought he had a lot of potential but as said, he was always going to struggle to work his way into the team with Boyd and Munro being so formidable. A good signing for you guys and should do well. And as Loki said, cheers for the money. The compensation won't be a lot, but every little helps.
gav-ffc
Since he barely played last season I doubt much compo will be due. Did County offer him a deal equal to his old one or reduce the wage?

Guest
Since he barely played last season I doubt much compo will be due. Did County offer him a deal equal to his old one or reduce the wage? They did offer a contract to him so Compo will have to be paid I would guess.
gav-ffc
Only if it is greater or equal to the contract he had before.
staggy4life
He left County and went back to Ireland for the summer so we sent him a contract in the post. I guess the compo won't be anymore than a 4-figure sum!
MattBairn
They did offer a contract to him so Compo will have to be paid I would guess. Is that due to his age?
Loki
Only if it is greater or equal to the contract he had before. I am sure Ross County know the rules, especially since you do.
Andy Dufresne
I am sure Ross County know the rules, especially since you do. As he was only at Ross County 2 years i do not think any money is due as they did not bring him through a youth academy or develop him as a player.
Loki
You do not need to take him through a youth academy.
Andy Dufresne
You do not need to take him through a youth academy. We will just need to wait and see then as Falkirk are in no position to pay any money for a player as we are as skint as a skint thing
Craig_FFC
Doubt Pressley would get in a player that we would need to pay some money for! We're still waiting on stewarts money Edited June 8, 2012 by Craig_FFC

FFC 1876
Wallaces replacement maybe , also according to the heralds website pressley wants another cb (Chris smith) probably cover for dods unless Flynn can play full back ? Anyone heard anything about a striker ?
Falkirk-Bairn22
I thought the rules on compensation were If a player U-23 signs a contract with a different team even If his former club offered the same or larger contract. So It all depends on what contract we offered him and what the contract was that County offered. I would expect County gave him a lerger contract than us so we probably will have to pay compo but I doubt it will be more than £5000
FFC 1876
No if they offered him a contract which was equal to his existing contract with them or more than his existing contract they are due compo
staggy4life
I'd guess the compensation figure has now been agreed judging by Flynn's tweet of "Delighted the deal has finally went through". Falkirk splashing out on transfer fees. Clearly the biggest budget in the league next season. Edited June 8, 2012 by staggy4life
