Long Suffering Bairn
100% behind the team, but it's early days for every team, not just us. Montrose have "gelled". Just going to have to use the next two games to get our act together before the league starts. -

Let me assure you that if you are trying to trick us into calling for you to get a game, its simply not happening. Blow your own trumpet m8 you just never know. I'm not Shepherd and I've never said he should be starting for us. We need a proven goal scorer at this level.
roman_bairn
Some amount of knicker wetting going on in that second half there. First game of the season and still 3 weeks before the league season starts and already some idiots writing off Hartley and some of the new players. Aye we were poor today but the players are clearly still getting to know each other and to gel. It will take time. If it’s like this around October/November time then fair enough but it’s still July ffs.Mate, if you are giving it until October or November before you expect us to start to gel as a team, I really am getting a bit concerned....

Russ
I don't think it's knicker wetting. If we're getting beat by Montrose, we're hardly going to then go and storm the league, are we?Aye you’re right. We’ve lost our first game which definitely means we have no chance of winning the league this season.
Reggie Perrin
Main concern for me was our front players showed absolutely nothing.Far too early to make any sensible criticism though. The bed wetting from some of the crowd was just pathetic.

Falkirk_Bairn_1983
Was told last week the new players have looked rank rotten in training. Didnt take too much notice of it at the time but maybe there is truth to it!
Shodwall cat
Powder puff up front but it was the total lack of creativity in the middle that somewhat concerned me. Also wgy are we playing right sided players on the left again. Both TOE and lewis struggled out there. Harrisons severe lack of pace also could cause us problems.

PG.Colossus
A proper right-back is needed to allow McGhee to partner Dallison in the centre with Robson at left-back.

gav-ffc
352 to get Froxy in the team plz with a new right wing back as McGhee isn’t the answer.
bridge of allan bairn
very few positives in our first competitive match, however thought the goalie played well and when he came on froxy added more in his cameo than the rest of the midfield all game. only two players started from last season and says it all that McGhee was the best player on the pitch. I think we'll be better with dallison playing and possibly Robson too.negatives? Hartley has a lot of work to do the goalie and dallison aside none of what I've seen so far is an upgrade on our team of last season. taiwo is better than Paton. Harrison looks really slow and the midfield and attack were poor. we desperately need 2 experienced strikers.

Forget wing backs. Two attacking wide players, we push one of the centre halfs wide when defending down the flank and drop Paton or Sammut deep to cover. The wings rs can drop back and help, but I'd rather have players comfortable going forward, than defensive ones that can't pass a ball. If we were going to sign one, we would have by now. I'd rather see Froxy behind the strikers though, as he seems too lazy to actually run much.
