A healthy Thomas Grant could be a revelation this season. When he was last fit back in 2012/13 he was on a par with Sibbs and McGrandles

Agreed, looked very good last night. Will be like signing a new player, hopefully his injury troubles are now behind him. Easily the best dead ball specialist at the club as well imo

Sheppard maybe in the same boat, he missed pre season last season and I know in my head I've considered him like many not in contention for a role, but who knows, if he can get back the form he had when first introduced, we will have won a watch

Grant,Sheppard, Cooper,Smith are on last chance saloon with us regarding future contracts

I expected Shepherd to kick on last season tbh but he got punted out on loan. Was played up front last night and his pace caused all sorts of problems. Looks to have grown a bit more as well. Between him, Biabi and T. Grant, we should have a fair bit more depth in the attacking third this season.

I liked Grant pre-injury but saw him for Arbroath and he was anonymous.

Arbroath fans liked him, lack of pace and confidence has held him, hopefully Houstie can sprinkle the same dust he used on Sibbald last season, tho he did state the main issue was Grant didn't have a settled position to fit in

He played wide left last night, Smith on the right with McHugh and Shepherd up front (Taiwo and Vaulks in the middle of the park). Lots of good link up play with those round him and his bit of skill and pass totally opened them up for our second goal.

What was wrong with Ochilview?

That's their home ground.

You cannae just flip the game and play it at their place.

If they started that, every wee team who drew the OF at home would just play it at their place for the cash.

I know but is it really?

It would've probably suited us to play there instead of Firs

We played them there last season, it shouldn't make any difference where we play them

They'll only be one outcome!
