Yes but unfortunately you and your friends probably couldn’t run a football club, George Craig could and was massively successful at it. I just can’t believe our fans attack him even at the moment. Look where we are! We are in the third tear, this is disgraceful.

What??????? Revisionism on a grand scale. The George Craig that hid tax demands in his desk for months. The George Craig that appointed Eddie May? Successful? He was a walking disaster.

McGlynn’s interview is calamitous. “The shape had nothing to do with it”. Proof positive that he has lost the plot. “People want two strikers so we play two strikers so people say the shape is wrong”. Incredible. Since when was Oliver a striker?
He stuck out an untried and untested set up in a play off semi final!!!!!!

We are in league 1! What is not going through here? Do you prefer us being at this level compared to having latapy in midfield and Gow up front?

sorry…you are saying George Craig got Latapy? You are on the wind up, and clearly you weren’t involved. Don’t know who has fed you this guff, but that is what it is.……guff.

Did MyGlynn just admit that not only did he play an unfamiliar formation in the biggest game of the season, but that he did so as a result of complaints from fans? He's always been a slaver to be fair and is happy to take credit when it's offered but very reluctant to take responsible for any issues.

Yeah, the guy was going to take it with his left foot until the the other guy over the ball went “nah, leave it” and proceeded to pass it into the net side footed. No bend, no dip, no pace………just a side foot into the net.

It wasn't even the corner, it was about 2 feet inside.

I’m not saying he was responsible for that. The point is about the level we were in the late 2000s compared to this utter dross. This collapse was unthinkable back then.

It turned out to be a bad decision, May was regarded as a good coach so it was worth a punt. Better than appointing dross that we know are crap before they start like McKinnon.

Worth a punt . Jesus wept. We were in the premier League. We had European football the club couldn't have been more attractive to manage interest was at an all time high and we take a punt on the kids coach who has never managed a team in his life. It was one of the worst decisions in the history of the bloody club.

As was said once he was gone “we gave the only keys to the sweetie shop to George, and yes, it was a terrible decision….one we need to make sure is never repeated”.

So were those days worse than now?

Fortunately the bod bailed us out with soft loans or we wouldn't have a club now due to George's vat fuckups and decision to spunk money on dad's army. That would undoubtedly have been worse.
