Popular Post Grangemouth Bairn Posted October 2, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted October 2, 2022 Not clinical enough in front of goal, not happy with the substitutions, boring game are just a few of the takes and opinions that have been posted on yesterdays game. Here is mine and I’ll positive I’m afraid. Loved watching us cruise to 3 points - it’s been a while. 2-0 with lots of chances as per the last 2 games will absolutely do me every single weeks. Not going to criticise the subs when we are winning - winning will do for me. Great that Dunfermline, Airdrie, Montrose and Alloa dropped points. Brilliant to see the crowd north of 3500 with a real feel good factor coming back. He'll improve with match sharpness, he's only played about 10 minutes in total this season before yesterday and missed the last month of last season through injury as well. I wouldnt go dropping Nesbitt or McGuffie as they are contributing plenty but both need shooting practice. Nesbitt for getting shots on target and McGuffie for not taking an age to pull the trigger. The first eleven are almost picking themselves at present, and those not starting will be itching to get a chance. Promotion and a convincing one would be a brilliant catalyst to drive the club forward, as you say would provide the feel good factor for fans, boosts in season ticket sales and sponsorship then obviously increased prize money next season. It’s almost feels like all or nothing this season because the other side of the coin is pretty grim. He is currently “John”, so we are doing well. I will watch out for any change to “John McGlynn” or even “McGlynn”. Then we are on the slide….. Beating your main rivals ultimately wins titles, something we have been incredibly bad at for far, far, far too long. Both are due at TFS before Christmas, six points in the bag from these two games and there might just be a case to think we can finally do something this season. What a change from last year, that would have been one of our best if not the best performance of last season. We should have won by 4 or 5 but strolling to easy wins without injuries or suspensions will do me as long as we turn up for the more challenging matches. Winning is undoubtedly a habit. The January window could be pivotal in a couple of ways though as you say.
