Reggie Perrin
Pity about the postponement, as has been said a minutes silence would have been appropriate. I will be on the golf course instead where it will be business as usual with the exception of the club flag flying at half mast.

If it’s next Sat/Sun I wouldn’t be surprised to see it cancelled too. Protocol is 10 days from the death. They set that clock ticking at midnight last night. That would mean Monday 19th.

Anyway I am on a rare and short trip back and missing my only chance to go to the ground and I'm feckin ragin. Made it to Kelty last week but I'd rather forget about that.

Cricket off today back tomorrow Racing cancelled for two days, back on Sunday. IMO we will play next Saturday. The protocol I was talking about was the time the funeral was after the death not what organisations decided to do. Harry Kinnear
Reading various media outlets, it states that although it won’t officially be declared a bank holiday there is an agreement in place that the day of the funeral will be a national day of mourning and employers are expected to give staff the day off.

The issue with these type of things isn’t when the obituary procedure starts but when it ends or fades out, nobody wants to be the first or show insensitivity by restarting to early. Saturday games off for me is sensible and hopefully games back next Saturday. Only thing in terms of FFC that’ll be a drop of a few grand from a Saturday to a midweek fixture., which isn’t what we want.
