The Falkirk FC Thread

What exactly do the establishment expect people to do at the weekend? Sit at home in the dark with a tear running down their cheek and raising a glass to her?

In what way does cancelling football matches help anybody? I mean, it isn't the case that all entertainment is off - you can still go to the cinema, still see most concerts, still go and see rugby league (in England), horse racing, cricket, golf, etc.

Why has football once again been singled out as the bad guy who needs to be cancelled to "show respect"? We had enough of football being the scapegoat during Covid, and now this.

Rotten, rotten decision.

I'd say it was a mistake to cancel tomorrows matches.

One of football's strengths is that it brings folk together.

Taking that away is pointless and daft.

"Football" has been singled out by absolutely no-one.

"Football" has made this nonsensical decision all by itself.

I think that will be dependent on when the funeral is. If it’s next Sat/Sun I wouldn’t be surprised to see it cancelled too.

Protocol is 10 days from the death. They set that clock ticking at midnight last night. That would mean Monday 19th.

But the protocol doesn't seem to be in place as it was up to individual sports on rugby and cricket in England is on? Anyway I am on a rare and short trip back and missing my only chance to go to the ground and I'm feckin ragin. Made it to Kelty last week but I'd rather forget about that.

Cricket off today back tomorrow Racing cancelled for two days, back on Sunday. IMO we will play next Saturday.
The protocol I was talking about was the time the funeral was after the death not what organisations decided to do.
