Aidan Keena doesn’t appear to be doing too badly either!

When is the narrative gonna end that Keena is some quality striker that we should be devastated that we lost, such a lazy player that absolutely deserved to be punted. Shouldn’t be mentioned alongside players like Dowds who despite not even wanting to be here absolutely busted his arse for us.

Anyone of those players could have been punted for not trying their arse last season. Not saying he didn’t deserve to go just more so that he’d be a better option to have instead of Finlay Malcolm or Jaime Wilson.

Still don’t understand why the signing of Malcolm was sanctioned when Rennie was on his way out.

In an ideal world we would sign a right back, central midfielder and a forward.

Doesn’t look like we are looking for a right back which is the least important anyway even though Williamson is grim.

A forward is the obvious priority with a loan move looking to be the way to go but sooner rather than later please, by the time the loan window shuts we will have completed two months of the season.

Why do you guys not like Robbie Mutch?

Simply a matter of him having gone backwards these last couple of years. He was never a commanding keeper, but was an aspect that he never managed to fix.

He made his fair share of blunders (but tbh, no more so than most), but while not really blunderland, he did start to let in a fair number of shots creep in that he should have been expecting to save. It became a regular occurrence.

His early form made him seem like a saleable asset, but he hasn’t kicked on from then. Having said that, given the defensive line in front of him last season, it’s no surprise that his confidence was shot to pieces.

Oh, and also a growing hint of weetabix wrists about him.

He's one that's divided the support for a number of years, we've had him for 4/5 years and in that time he's been linked with a fair few moves down south but never really seemed to improve himself. He's still only 23 years old and he's not horrid, just never ever went on to the heights we expected of him.

His first starts for us would involve him throwing a ball in the net, giving away a penalty etc. He would also have some amazing saves in the same games. He got a little consistency in parts but was always prone to a gaff along the way and his distribution of the ball suspect.

He had some dodgy games on loan at Arbroath and Dumbarton, it will be interesting how he gets on, he might shine and get a full time gig again or it could be part time football onwards.

Correct, we're far better off with the options we have!

None of the strikers we currently have are any better than Kenna. Hopefully that changes when we get another couple of bodies in

Can’t understand why no one is mentioning Nathan Austin on here.
He would be my first choice if we were able to up our budget. Houston saw something in him and I think he will do well in League One. I’d much prefer it was with ourselves…..

Montrose making 2 loan signings from Ross County, loaning the Scotland U21 keeper from St Johnstone and also signing Rory McAllister today. Could they not have waited until next week?

Oh, I'm well aware of that. It was an attempt at sarcasm. I think we'll be hard pushed to get a striker of Keena's standard in the current climate TBH.

Heard from a very good source down at the stadium that McGlynn is bringing in Kenny Miller over the next few days as a striking coach/player. It'll be a part time role, all depending whether Rangers make it into the Champions or Europa Leagues.

Champ League he'll be working Monday Thursday Saturday with us to allow him to do his RangersTV/BT stuff.

Europa it'll be Tuesday Wednesday Saturday.

Still think he can do a job at this level at the age of 41!

We don’t need a striker coach we need a striker who is not 41 years old.

And to think I got stick for suggesting Griffiths on a pay as you play deal.

Was having a look at the scottish premiership squads to see who could possibly be available on loan.

Wouldn't mind Dylan Tait as he seems to be out of it a bit with Hibs and obviously has worked with Mcglynn previously.

Upfront you've got Kyle Connell, Jack Hamilton, Euan Henderson, Lewis Jamieson.

This hasn't aged too well but Tait, Henderson and Connell haven't went to any other clubs yet.

Mochrie or Moffatt would also be good additions.
