Heard about financial issues weeks back, you’ve just confirmed what I thought was rumour, was very much true. Another shambles after losing Central Demolition after nearly twenty years. Guessing there’s probably another horror story behind that to filter out…..

Perhaps not. Clearly Clarke ePOS is a stand alone tragedy from last summer all on its ownsome.

I heard the Central Demolition had wanted to step back from two or three years ago, but equally, if a new shirt sponsor wasn’t found, they wouldn’t leave the club in the lurch…….if so, many thanks are due to CD for standing by the club for so long.

The absolute mess would have been Commercial staff trying to play CD off against ePOS. If that’s how it played out, then that is unforgivable. Certainly none of the current Board had anything to do with bringing Hugh Clarke to the club…..once again, they are left to pick up the pieces.

The whereabouts regarding the BfL money will be decided by its members at the next AGM which will be quite soon.

One person does not have the power.

All BfL subscriptions are by s/o which means the member can cancel as and whenever.

The last B4L AGM agreed that the organisation would join its membership with FSS.  The problem is that David Lapsley reneged on that decision unilaterally and refused to let FSS have the membership list (thereby stopping B4L members having a say in the election of Fan Directors) and went to the club asking for shares to be given to B4L rather than what had been agreed which was the shares go to FSS.

B4L is a great idea but it cannot be one person's playground to control what it does. If the club had given shares to B4L where is the democratic control of what would be done with them? No organisation is ever perfect but at least FSS has an active committee of 8 people and have annual elections and public events as well as online forums where people can discuss issues. Anyone can stand for election if they are a member.

Ideally the two organisations will merge - the FSS committee have asked several times for this to happen but there has been no response from DL.

I’d actually controversially semi disagree with this. If the person in full control is sane and makes correct and good decisions, it is often the best way these organisations work. Unfortunately this Lapsley fella (hadn’t even heard of him until today tbh) does not seem to fit that bill. So the whole thing goes pete tong.

Thankfully PJ signing puts Holt jnr even further away from 1st team. I hope he doesn't get contract paid off, let him stay if he won't leave without pay off and get him cleaning the stands and removing sponsors signs who are no longer paying

I can think of one Falkirk legend that lasted about 5 minutes in that particular role!

Good old Yogi. Amazing to think he has actually played for or managed 13 different clubs now, and will doubtless be looking for number 14.

I’m hearing some interesting snippets that at least three former Directors are very upset with the board and the CEO. One threatening a defamation claim, one saying the past should be forgotten, another saying the club lacks class. I’ve been to a fair few of these directors meetings now and I’ve never heard an individual being criticised (player, manager, director or employee) only an area that needs to be fixed and what they had done or were working towards fixing.

It’s hard to be honest and transparent, which is how successful businesses work, if you can’t be, you know, honest and transparent.

The fact these people are complaining show what we already knew, they think responsibility doesn’t come with accountability.

Performances on the park and league positions are supported & bolstered by what happens off the park. It doesn’t talks a genius to work this out.

Never heard anyone being criticised being named so don’t know how far a defamation case would go.

Also there is a defence in law re defamation about something said being true.

This.

I’ve never actually heard anything being said but so what if there was. You can’t go crying that someone accused you of making a c**t of something when you quite clearly made a c**t of it.

BfL had been in discussion with the club about shares for members' cash long before FSS conceived. Think I'd rather have personal shares anyway than have them turned over to a fans' group.

Any ex Director needs to think very carefully about any action they choose to take. It will become very public very quickly, and may well involve more than they might think.

For those aware of the movie Field of Dreams, I think the lot of them would be best advised to stay off the pitch and walk back into the relative safety of the cornfield.

As for the past being forgotten, nah, not yet. It’s not in the past, it’s in the here and now, and it’s because of them that we are where we are. Besides which, a couple of them decided to go after me and my son in a pretty vile way. It was ok because their cocksure arrogance and laughable incompetence made sure that they made a right c**t of that too.

Any former director who wants to keep themselves relevant by grinding their axes with club after the c**t they made of it, can simply f**k off and never come back.

They deserve way worse than any hounding they ever got and they ought to be grateful those currently in charge are allowing them to retain what dignity they have left, rather than really opening it all up to the fans.
