Otherwise the beyond played out "swing and a miss" patter applies for you here. Does the 'cb' in your name stand for Clydebank ?

The timing in terms of the strength of the competition means McGlynn probably just needs to do a decent job, not work miracles. I won't be as optimistic as you are until we see what kind of squad he builds. The current contracted players don't give him much to work with so really on the park we're in as much of a mess as the rest at the moment.
Gaz
I don't think we'll go up this year but if we've got a team who actually look like they can play football a bit, have a bit of dig and effort, a bit of tactical awareness and are managed by a competent manager I'll take that as progress. Playoffs minimum. -

We get it tight from County fans for getting 900 grand off the council for our ground 25 year ago. Apparently that's not ok but getting £1.5 million of debt written off every year is fine. The 3 million quid was the money they got from the sale of Brockville as they owned a third of the land. It was ploughed back into the new stadium. It wasn't just cash the council had lying about and wouldn't have been available without selling Brockville and moving elsewhere.
Guest
How anyone can predict if we will go up or not this year when we have not signed a player yet is a bit bizzare. Prediction time is when the squad is assembled surely?

Considering the total debt that would have forced them straight into liquidation was about £1.5m, where did the rest go? https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12302040.taxman-puts-falkirk-fc-in-hands-of-liquidator/ Nearly 9million quid. 3 million of that was the council's that they put back in. ,The rest the club had but 2.2 million was owed to the stadium city group in loans to Eddie Healey and others and legal fees. We therefor put in approx 3m and the council put in approx 3m.

PedroMoutinho
Apparently Finlay Malcolm has been released by the club. Strange signing in the first place but odd that Mcglynn doesn’t want a look at him. Edited May 18, 2022 by PedroMoutinho

You wouldn’t need to be Pep to know he’s not going to get you 15+ goals which is what we need from any of our main strikers.

I don't know if that's the case but it could be.

Could well be waiting for the release lists from the leagues above. Considine from Aberdeen would have been a great signing and just the quality and experience needed for a 1 or 2 year deal but most likely will be at Cove next season.

Think someone posted that he’s already agreed a deal with CR, stays local but nevertheless would be a decent signing for us.

Take the playing surface FFS we own the pitch but not the land it sits on have you ever heard of such an inept arrangement what we own is worthless. Then to compound the stupidity owning seats but not the stand they sit on and saddled with a 125 year lease. Council are making a fortune out us. We don't have one physical asset we can borrow against if the going gets tough which it will over the next few years.
