When it comes to finding strikers in particular he's got many more misses than hits. I do think he's exactly the kind of manager Falkirk need though. He's not a "cones" guy or some weird motivational speaker. He's an old school, "this is my football club" guy. If something isn't right, he'll go and fix it. Famously when he joined the Rovers the first time around he dug out a toolbox because the showers in the changing room were leaking. I don't imagine there are many literal leaking showers at the Falkirk Stadium, but from the outside looking in, the whole club seems to have lots of disfunctional parts. I think McGlynn is the kind of guy who can start to pull that together and get the whole operating working with a bit more purpose.
