Stuart Kennedy? 🤔

Not even fit to lace Archie’s boots.

Archie scored as many goals for Scotland as Kennedy had caps.

Go and post your comment about Archie’s goal not being the best in that game on the Tartan Army sub forum you mutant.

I remember speaking to Johnny Rep at Love St in 1980 when he was playing for St Etienne and even he said he had a poster of Archie on his wall after that goal.

It is one of the greatest individual goals you will ever see at a World Cup.

Wee Archie also went on to help Forest win the European Cup.

Another local lad and St Mirren “S” form Paul Lambert won the Scottish Cup at 17 and went onto win the Champions League.

Must be something in the water down Paisley way!

We’ve qualified and played in Europe 7 times playing against players like Rep, Gullit, Cryuff, Platini, Batiston and others.

Your European record against a team from Lichtenstein is shambolic.

Maybe you can organise a dinner to celebrate that feat.

You're really not very nice.

Fuckin #rattled. 😂🤣🤣

He DIDN'T help Forest win the European Cup & got papped off to Birmingham😉

He famously didn’t play in the final but played in every other round. So he did help Forest win their first European trophy which is what I said.

He fell out with Clough and signed for Birmingham City the following season.

Clough welcomed Archie back into his staff so they must have put that incident to bed.

Logged on to 5 pages- thought i had missed something interesting but a brief summary is- someone abusing our supporters for raising funds for charity and some idiot posting a picture of one of our better posters.

Don’t leave on account of 1 idiot BPM, whilst we all disagree with each other from time to time(as is normal on forums), there’s no need for people to make it personal.

That’s embarrassing. A legends night for finishing as runner up in the Scottish Club.  I know it’s Falkirk Football Club but come on, have a bit of respect for yourselves.

No thanks, we’ll just concentrate on raising some funds for 2 well deserving charities than engaging with this nonsense.

You do realise the background to the charities involved and the connection to certain Falkirk players, who are no longer with us, don't you?

Nah, of course you don't.

You don't know the meaning of the word of respect.

Oh sorry did not know this either.

Just to weigh in on the DoF role.

I see the argument re cost and accountability etc but as a counter argument is there a longer term view that having someone in that role responsible for scouting, contracts and other operations above the coach means that IF the coach is successful and leaves then he doesn't leave with his book of contacts and jeopardise longer term planning that the club would do with said coach.

Just a different perspective and no endorsement of Rennies continuing employment.

Also get Miller TF.

When McKinnon was hired, the main reason cited was his previous excellent record in the Championship (over 50% win record with each of Raith, Dundee Utd & Morton - though Morton was only 8 games and DUFC should always be doing well in the 2nd tier).
Actually when you think back McKinnons team was little more than a Lyndon Dykes dive away from staying in the Championship and he was sacked when the team was in a position we would have bitten your hand off for this season.   His teams were a difficult watch but they would horse the current lot.

Is this an attempt at justifying McKinnon spell? Trying to spin it that we were ‘a Lyndon Dykes dive away from staying up’ is ridiculous and gives him a lot more credit than he deserves. He had 32 league games to keep us up he then had 2 home games at the end of the season against Alloa and Morton where if he took just 1 point we stay up and lost both games. Just because we’ve been shite since we sacked him doesn’t mean he deserves any sort of credit whatsoever.

We were absolutely dreadful under him, he was a massive failure and should have been sacked long before he was. If he was binned that summer when he should’ve been and had we appointed an actual manager that summer when this league was there to be won we wouldn’t still be in this mess.

Sorry I actually didn’t notice there was a charity element to it before my earlier post. Post swiftly deleted.

See this is the action of someone with scruples. Made a mistake, rectified it, and moved on.

McKinnons win rate percentage is second only to, hold your breath, Eddie May. That should say it all.
