The Falkirk FC Thread

He has to walk tonight. His position is untenable and so there is nothing to gain in keeping him now.

There is no discernible difference between having a manager and not now for the remainder of the season.

Hopefully Rennie is told not to go to this fans meeting, not his fault he is out his depth and no point if he isn’t here next season!

That he will be standing in the South Stand in 30 minutes taking questions says one of four things….

1) He already has next season’s gig in his hip pocket, so results this season don’t matter

2) He is a direct descendant of P T Barnum

3) He is simply delusional.

4) He is just having a laugh to see how long he can hang around before the BoD twig that he doesn’t really have a clue what he is doing.

Aye, also save the stuff about keeping Cones. Just cause Rennie is even worse doesn't mean he wasn't fucking hopeless. We keep appointing clowns - expect the circus.

So you are going for Option 2. P T Barnum.

Was Rennie going to be there? I thought only the board were and that the one Renniebattended was a one off?

Greatly looking forward to your latest round of propagandising after the latest result.

On this post, it doesn't actually matter how good Morton’s squad is in comparison with Falkirk in comparing the jobs Imrie and Rennie have done. What matters is how they compare to the rest of the respective divisions. Imrie inherited a squad bottom of the division with 2 wins in 18 games, with if we were being extremely generous four or five players who looked good enough for the division. Before any signings were made he immediately turned out results around, in the transfer window he only had two out two in, and took that team who were bottom of the league to having the second best record in the division since he took over. Players such as your own Cameron Blues who previously looked miles out of their depth under several managers have been turned into solid Championship players under him.

Contrast with Rennie, who inherited a team very much in with a realistic shot of the playoffs, with the team you were competing with for fourth seemingly allergic to winning and drawing every single game for months on end. He has taken the players Sheerin had, lost no one useful, added seven signings and made your results even worse. as someone who hasn't watched a full 90 minutes of Falkirk at all but can read a league table and understand a points per game ratio, it is a clearly indisputable, undeniable fact that Martin Rennie is by every imaginable metric doing a worse job than Paul Sheerin.

Don't worry though, you can always accuse anyone who criticises the worst manager in your club's history of being shills for Gary Deans or something because you can't accept that your mates appointed a shite manager.

A Morton fan gets it more than some of our own support. Some laugh.
