The only reason Edjenguele looked decent was because he played like Van Dijk in comparison to the CB pairings that would have struggled in the Juniors who we'd been playing for the first half of that fucking grim season.

Yet Hall, McKay and Lemon are still the worst of the lot. Pretty incredible just how spectacularly shite our recruitment has been over the years. It’s almost a talent to be able to keep signing players even worse than has gone before.

I just wonder if McKay beside someone who will talk and keep him concentrating will improve?

Got to admit I would be hard pressed to decide between Holt/Sheerins current ensemble or Hartleys duds, the only thing that gives Hartleys duds any leeway was the fact we were a league above than present shite but a better league shite

Correct, he’s now appeared for two teams…the three team limit was a one off.

I'm sure there is an appeal case you can take to the associated body who can over rule this. The case usually has to prove the said player won't be involved in match day squads.

Wiki say he's got 10 in 23, BBC say he's got 5 in 17.

5/19 this season

Nah he’s every bit as bad as Hall potentially even worse. At 28 and played over 200 games he’s never going to improve. It’s his lack of intelligence more than anything else that infuriates me.

You said that about Hall. Mckay's been an absolute donkey wherever he's been. He's a lost cause.

I was asking a question not making a statement.

Just for a bit of fun given the novelty of Kabia's double on Saturday, I went trawling on bettermeddle to see how many Bairns players I could find who got 2 (or more) goals on their League debut.  So far I've found four - a couple are more recent than Id imagined.  There might easily be others I've missed

B Hall (!) https://bettermeddle.org.uk/archive/match.php?season=2020&id=322&type=1 but that was v Forfar so didnt count

L Longridge (2nd spell) https://bettermeddle.org.uk/archive/match.php?season=2018&id=319&type=1 when we papped DUFC 6-1

M Higdon https://bettermeddle.org.uk/archive/match.php?season=2008&id=301&type=1  opening day thrashing of Gretna at Fir Park

"Half Chance" Charlie Lytwyn went one better with a league debut hatrick v Ayr Utd in 1985 https://bettermeddle.org.uk/archive/match.php?season=1986&id=202&type=1

Once you go pre transfer window of course a player could have made their debut any old time, maybe some other older Bairns will remember debut doubles or hatricks.

Nah, any CB who has their tongue sticking out the side of their mouth when trying to trap a ball is deeply suspect.

You just hope if Watson is partnered with either of them he isn't dragged down to their level quickly. Watson solid enough as he is isn't blessed with pace to cover their f**k ups.

Certainly Hall McKay & Miller seemed to morph into a critical mass that the introduction of only ATS wasn’t enough to break, but the introduction of Watson should hopefully limit the damage that McKay and Miller can inflict…….but McKay especially needs to be kept on a short leash. Watson and Dixon should at least give the front line a fighting chance of out scoring the opposition.

Charlie Lytwyn eh?

Was there that day. First half hat-trick and my abiding memory is Lamont screaming at him the whole of the second half.

I heard they are still trying to agree a fee with Clyde.  We want to pay in installments and add-ons whilst Clyde want more up front.

Speaks volumes of the character of those who sanctioned the move to pay actual cash for a rapist. Some things are more important than a game of football for goodness sake
