It’s a wage that can be best utilised elsewhere and by the sounds of his Open Goal chat during the Summer, he wasn’t ruling himself out of a management job. If something came up he fancied he wouldn’t give us a second thought, just like last time so why we should show him any loyalty after his performances for us is a big baffling, nice guy or not. roman_bairn Posted December 16, 2021 Share Posted December 16, 2021 I think that interview with Rennie really clarified the lines of responsibility and where they are drawn between Sporting Director and Head Coach. For me I can see the value (even if expensive) in the SD role, but my main concern is the performance to date of the person in the role on the player recruitment side specifically.I suspect the board don’t want to change the structure and are hoping that with Rennie and Miller also being involved in the final selection process they will see an improvement in the quality of player coming in alongside Rennie’s expected motivational and tactical know how.Still unconvinced Holt is the right man for the job though….. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Frightening also to think that Holt has already identified a number of players that could improve the squad. We've already had sheerin telling us how great Gary's pre contract signings were and them turning out to be fecking awful let's hope Rennie isn't falling into the same trap. Any one Holt proposes needs ignored straight away . Rennie needs to start afresh and look for January players.
