Surprised Levein hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Not saying he’s the ideal candidate but certainly worth considering.

So winning under 17s title with st johnstone. League 2 with arbroath and under 20s league with Aberdeen. How is that not a success

Arbroath fans will tell you that the main reason he won league two with them and kept them up was because he was still playing and a country mile better than anyone else at that level. As soon as he hung up his boots they plummeted back to the league below. His other successes are kids stuff which as Eddie may showed mean absolutely hee haw when it comes to doing it for real.

Reading Martin Ritchies book relating his boardroom experiences and it certainly answers a lot of the questions which keep coming up on here. Didn’t realise that Gary Deans was heavily involved in the split up of the stadium company back to the Council and FFC.

Regarding NeilMcCann, apparently he cost us a bomb in a pay- off to end his time with us.

MR is also scathing about Hughes.

Not finished yet but a very good read.

Certainly a decent read although some of it is a pile of mince. He's still trying to trot out the old line about the academy being too expensive to run and therefore it had to be shut which we know was a lot of complete cobblers.

I'm not denying that but he has had a good track record which is the point. Others have had a good track record even gone on to better results since Falkirk.

His tactics are woeful and he can’t change it. We create zero but all he talks about is defending better. I actually feel for him becuase he seems a thoroughly decent guy but that’s not enough to remain in the job. Sadly he’s massively out depth and he actually knows it!

Think Levein would be an outstanding appointment tbh. But again there’s nae chance of us coming to us whilst we’re a basket case bang average third tier side.

Possibly a bit premature but given all the talk of testing and isolating was just thinking about this highly infectious Omicron variant and wondering if the possibility might arise again of the season finishing early again?

Of course we are top of the league this time..

No possibility.

Deaths and hospitalisations are falling.

Remember we need to keep Cones for an unspecified period of time, regardless of results, to prevent us being seen as a club who sacks managers if they continually lose.

What does that have to do a with a novel infectious strain?

Err, maybe the fact that the vast majority of people are now double (soon to be triple) vaccinated it’s highly likely that the vaccines will still be highly effective against every disease and hospitalisation from this new strain.

Or the reports from South Africa that the new variant is resulting in very mild illness so far.

Appears so. Some sort of bizarre clownery that thinks we are wrong to sack the worst manager in our entire history because...erm.. it will show that we sack managers.

Its a lose lose and comes down to which is the worse of the two thankless options.

1. Sack the manager

2. Get a replacement* of the quality required

* Our reputation as a hire and fire outfit is trashed which will have been entrenched after sacking a manager not even 20 games in.

As risky and a step into the unknown as it is Got to be 2 and a new manager - and hope !

We wouldn’t be a hire and fire outfit of the incompetent board hired a half decent manager in the first place.

I’m hoping we are just biding our time until the new board is assembled to get rid of Holt and Sheerin. It’s then up to the board to appoint someone capable of doing the job.
