Harry Kinnear
Query for Falkirk fans. When your stadium got finished (ish) with stand #3 in 2009 there was a special opening game v Royal Antwerp. Was there a special game when the stadium first opened?Royal Antwerp fans were superb that day.

However they made good and bad decisions, were unlucky with timings ie, our best team in 20 years arrived with rangers/hearts/hibs/Dundee utd all around the championship even covid stopped us at least having the chance of going up by finishing the season. Board decisions and interactions with fans have been terrible last few years and the team have been getting worse. This could be a pivotal moment in our history and could hopefully be the catalyst for a rise up the leagues #COYB (is the coyb Facebook enough for everyone, lol) Better than the sides that finished 7th in the premier league twice?

Is it till end of Hughes as solo manager or the promotion that never was when Coyle left? It takes us up to the end of season 06/07, Anthony Stokes and finished 7th under Hughes.

Numbers_One_To_Eleven
Meanwhile, FFC just got a mention in the Celtic game. Gerhard Fellner is Assistant Manager for the Hungarian team!
Johnny Tee
It was 2010 that we were relegated from the SPL and it wasn’t Yogi who took us down. Eddie May started the 2009-10 season as manager and it was actually Elvis that was in charge on the day relegation was confirmed. As to players after Yogi departed how could anyone forget the one and only Farid El Alugui?
Shadwell Dog
The Antwerp game was just a normal pre season friendly was it not anyway?

Gerhard Fellner coming to Falkirk and getting a place in the 1997 Cup Final Squad caused a lot unrest with fringe squad members who had played well in earlier rounds, they and regular starters, also didn’t rate him what so ever and couldn’t fathom out why Totten had signed him.

He did nothing in the cup games but was ok in the league, notching a few goals in the run-in.

I’m thinking the fringe players were Graham Mitchell, Kenny Ward and Mark McGraw (shiver). Yip, one of these three was apparently told he was in the Cup Final Squad only to be replaced by Fellner, very bitter little Fifer about that happening
Numbers_One_To_Eleven
It appears he gave up on the striker role and forged a solid career as a defender.
cbhaf
Fellner came off the bench in at least the first semi-final I'm sure. Played a key role by staying well out of the way so Kevin James could equalise.

A player who looked totally devoid of any sort of abilities that would point to him being a premiership footballer when he was with us. Yet another example that we, for whatever reason, are getting the absolute minimum out of any player we currently get Don't worry at all, when we played him CB he looked utterly shite. He's our 4th choice LB, just happens by chance that the other 3 are out injured. 2 of them long term. Regardless, he looks like a useless b*****d.

Seriously though do you not think that some posters on your forum cross the line?. That boy , Wilson, never seen him play, but he has parents, family, friends some of whom may read the toxic comments from anonymous posters. Doesn't feel right. We are not great, but you guys just seem to be extreme. X Re: whether some posters cross the line or not when it comes to abusing certain players, that is up to each individual. We are an extremely passionate support that has endured 5 years of crap so inevitably sometimes that passion, anger and frustration will creep in to some of our posts and it is just a pity for whatever player is in the firing line. As for Jaime Wilson, sure, it can't be nice to be castigated in public for your inability to do your job properly but to a certain degree that's what you sign up for when you become a professional footballer. If he was banging in the goals left, right and centre he and his family would be lapping up all the adulation on here and elsewhere, right? Like every other footballer, he'll have to take the rough with the smooth. If it gets too tough for him he can always go and get a real 9 - 5 job. There’s no doubt people cross the line with abuse but it’s an entertainment industry and players are judged on their performances, in the press, by their manager, pundits, the fans and many more. If you sanitised football then you’d eventually remove the ability for these guys to earn huge wads of cash as passion and rivalry sell as do cutting opinions.
