Was Gary Deans appointed by Colin Liddell who used to be on the board?

Just feels like for years we’ve been hampered by cronyism replacing like for like. Would love to see a proper clear out. That Q and A played like a hooky version of Guess Who where almost every card was the same bald, bespectacled, middle-aged white man.

Aye, reeking of Lex Miller types. Alan Sugar wannabes who can't wait to tell you how "self made" they are

Yeh I didn’t think any of them came across well during the Q and A, Deans especially. The Rawlins seemed ok but came across a bit false. That list was certainly questionable in content and detail and the whole roof thing was immediately shat on by the CI. Didn’t make sense anyway.

Anyone know when the AGM is?

When we start winning again.

Thats where contacts and people who can persuade and encourage players that Falkirk is the place to be are vitally important.   Holt should have an advantage at Livingston but it's become  pretty obvious that they can't stand him just as much as us.

No matter how much a club official talks up their club to a potential signing, you can't change what league they're in. Not every player plays for the money, some want to test themselves at a certain level and won't drop down past a certain point.

Holt can talk up Falkirk all he wants but if a player doesn't want to play in the third tier then he won't sign.

Loans will go where their parent club wants them to go which in the main is to the team willing to pay the most of their wages especially in Livingston's case and to people they know will look after the player well.  With young boys I will agree that the club that owns the player will often want them to play at a higher level every time they go out but we're not talking about young kids here.

You do realise players have a say in where they go out on loan to?

The exception being the “PR” guy McFarlane who actually had hair….

Mind when he said fans should be more patient? Whit a laugh that was.

Aye but  if you've just arrived up here you're not going to have a feckin clue or really have that much influence on where your going on loan. Feck me Arbroath's the coldest stadium in Scotland I doubt your going to be desperate to end up there.

Again, you're not taking into consideration what level the clubs play at. Even if a player isn't from Scotland, it takes about 8 seconds to check what level they play at.

If your on loan your going back to your club in 6 months / a year  anyway. Whether your playing in the championship in front of a few hundred every other week or league one in front of 3 to 4 thousand isn't going to make much of a difference as long as you perform and you get paid in full. In fact you've probably more chance of looking good in the lower league anyway .

Thats an aspect of it for sure. There are a whole raft of different considerations and like any other club, its up to us to sell the whole package we can offer a loanee (and the parent club) either because of, or in spite of league position etc. The fact that we are probably unique in paying a DoF (who happens to be a sneering w****r) to do this job and still appear to be treading water is what rankles tbh.

Its not that theres a divine right to be able to get X or Y depsite the league position, its that we are paying a fortune, ostensibly to be in better position than most to be on on top of this sort of thing, and yet are still shite at it.

That and the fact that other clubs in our league have continually managed to loan in players far more successfully than we ever have. Our record is abysmal McManus apart.

McManus, Burgoyne, Rudden were very good recently. Its difficult to think of others that have even been useful after that.......

We have reached the stage where we look up to Arbroath as an example of how a lower league club should operate.

Take nothing away from them, Dick Campbell is working a minor miracle as they look serious challengers for a play off place.

Craigen was good tonight while Low looked very capable having just recently signed from The Shire!

In the meantime, our lot attempt to fleece the long suffering fans with a third strip! As if a DoF and a CEO ain't delusional enough!

Id love to know the 5 year plan that was mentioned at Q and A!! You would have thought this might have been articulated?

I would have preferred a short 15 minute powerpoint presentation with actually details on this rather than a list of bullet points on a microsoft word document.

No style or substance.

Maybe its like Blackadder. Operate the same plan that has failed twelve times before because that's precisely the last thing the supporters would expect them to do!

How could you possibly know that!? It's classified information!
