Delighted we've got a couple of teams up and running although we'll need more than 10 players! Scrapping the academy was one of the worst choices made by a board who specialised in making horrendous choices.
Will take a long long time to re-establish ourselves as a club that young players can come to develop at but this is the first step.

McManus gets a hattrick in Europe with The New Saints.  And we've got Wilson.

One was 60k one was free....sadly it's where we are

We had zero chance enticing him when he had his best scoring total since he was last in the 3rd division, so 12 month later even matching the 60k, same applies

40 years ago we could have raised that much.  How far we have fallen.

I know this has been commented on before here but if we can't afford £60,000 as our one and only cash transfer in a season then we might as well pack it in, have a supermarket built on the stadium, go part time, groundshare with the Warriors and join the Lowland League.  Yes we know McManus will be on a much better wage than we are currently offering and perhaps bonuses on top, but FFS.  How far we have plummeted.

I shudder to think we paid £50k for John Stewart

You been on the gin ?

You have answered your own question in there so I'll ask you one

How many league 3 teams have spent money above 20k in recent years ?

The same could be applied to championship, if you're after big money transfers then no wonder yer long suffering

We have a bigger income than all league one teams (not including Queens Park with their one off windfall) and many of the championship.  I'd swap 90% of Declan McManus for 100% of Gary Holt.

You are aware that the Scottish Government handed Alloa half a million a few months back. That was slightly more than FFC were given. You will also be aware that FFC are a club saddled with big overhead costs where we pay more in lease/rental costs for the SS than the Launderers pay for their entire stadium in the top flight.

Doesn’t matter a toss what our “more income” is. It only has meaning when it’s set out against outgoings……and now we have significant off the field salaries to meet as well, so the “more income” argument means nothing.

I'm suggesting it's whisky now over the gin
