The Falkirk FC Thread

Recommended Posts

Holy cow. Just saw the message sent to @Bairn in Exile about Zoom meetings. Do the club assume nobody has used online meetings at all before? It's the easiest thing in the world to manage who attends. As for the costs element, I'm calling BS.

Wow, what a message. Send us your questions by email, we'll group them (presumably into 2 piles - ones we want to answer and ones we don't), then answer them. You can then watch our replies asynchronously later on where you cannot follow up.

It's actually bizarre. More than insulting, bizarre.

If anyone has a connection to a Board member on here..... tell them I will be more than happy to put up the £150 for the zoom meeting.

We'd need to starve them out but there's too many fans happy to put their hands in their pockets and then watch any old shite.

The way I see it there are 2 ways of thinking here.

1: The fans put their hands in their pockets and buy season tickets etc which should hopefully allow the management to get the right players in and get us up the leagues

or

2: The fans  don't put their hands in their pockets, which then has the knock on effect on the team as we cant go out and get the players that will improve us.  Cause if we are all honest we cant see the BOD putting up any more of their money if they aint getting success on the pitch.

I don't like what is going on at the club just now and I do believe there is a lot to be worked on but I think the 1 thing all fans want to see if Falkirk back where we belong. It downs to each individual how they want to go about it but I for one will be buying my season tickets as its the only way I can see us getting a team together that will lift us back up.

1. Is what we've done for the past 10 or 12 seasons and yet here we are a team that's just come 5th in league one. Is it perhaps not time to realise now that that that ain't working or do we just continue to batter our heads off brick walls ad infinitum? We all know what Einstein stated was the definition of insanity.

Does not work then. I am too old to get militant about the BOD but almost every poster on this thread appears livid especially denying the Navy Blue group.
When I was annoyed at the shutting of pits although I was not a miner I picketed Monktonhall. When I was against nuclear weapons I demonstrated at Faslane. When I was angry at the poll tax I occupied gardens to prevent evictions. Those were noticeable acts that generated publicity. Typing into a forum is not a protest merely a petted lip. Where is this fight if people are so annoyed? I don't know how many fans read P&B but the COYB Facebook records 5000 members so if people really are fuming stand up or just sit down

You must have some size of pockets by the way.

My pockets are not big enough to accommodate Monktonhall so I picketted instead lol

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
Fans who are so angry should think about the above. If you do nothing things just go on

It's getting enough people to wake up and smell the coffee that's the problem.  Christ how much worse does it have to get before that happens is beyond me.

No end to the shame of this BOD, now they want £80 for parking when there is no chance of getting into all the games as things stand. They’ve no interest in the supporters they’re only after our money.

Park elsewhere or get the bus

I'm sure that will work fine for our elderly fans or those that can't walk far.

A small band of protesters with a strategic plan generates the necessary red top coverage which then provokes change

Do you really think our mob would bother.  They've been happy to call their own fans racists without a shred of evidence. Your kidding yourself if you think they'd bother about a few fans protesting.

The BTW bus drops off right outside the Crunchie Stand

And if you're in the main stand?  Why not just charge for the bloody car park when you can use it until things get back to bloody normal instead of being greedy.

No but the publicity would hit them

Would it hell.  The racism pish never made one difference to them. They're only interested in getting your cash nothing else. If the well ran dry then they'd have to do something but until then we're stuck with them and stuck with mediocrity.

Shadwell I respect your views and those of BPM as you both have consistently stated your views and have shown your devotion to the club in more ways than just using a keyboard. It is to be respected and admired. Whilst I don't always share your views I know they come from the same love of the Bairns that I have.
Several newer posters like Crack pots and zbairn appear very angry and quite insulting to those who are not on their page. Perhaps they should suggest direct action?
