Until that changes, it doesn’t matter what puppets are in the boardroom. -

Ours has been awful since the January window where Baird and Kerr signed. Let's not kid ourselves it's been awful since Hughes's dad's army season. The very odd gem but dross by the bucket load. That's why we never got promoted back to the top flight and why we got relegated.

He had more assists than any other player in our team and while he wasn't a complete stick out like I'd have expected he still had a lot to offer us and would be a nailed on starter in our team this season if he was still here. Irving was a kid chucked into the worst collection of players I've ever seen and was being asked to be the main creative driving force surrounded by plodding muck in a team battling relegation in a poisonous atmosphere having never really played top level football. He wasn't great by any stretch but he had no chance of succeeding. Irving would probably do a better job for us now. We've been crying out for young legs in the middle of the park but the clueless pair in charge appear to be the only ones that don't realise that. He was never going to do well in a relegation battle at 17 as he just didn't have the stomach for it.

It's not the budget that we give managers that has been the issue over the past few seasons it's the managers and players that the budget is being spent on that are the big problem.
Bigbrbairn
Did the Rawlins not say they would look at the scouting system they had at Stoke. We could go for the Brentford Model. That should work

roman_bairn
No way it will be a 27 game league if we can’t get the league going before April now.....
falkirkzombie
So the Government didn't shut down the leagues but now are not now allowing them to restart, do I have that correct? everyone seems to be passing the buck here while all the lower league teams and their fans suffer, but hey at least Celtic got a warm weather training camp. WestfieldBairn
So the government can give Celtic permission to travel half way across the world for a “winter training camp” and Livingston to use a restaurant and get we can’t even train? You couldn’t make it up.

So why on earth if it’s so dangerous are the top two leagues still playing? We were playing when virus levels were much higher than what they are now. latapythelegend
Can only assume we are heading for an 18 game season. No way 27 games will be played now. Surely there can be no issues with that across leagues 1 and 2.

I think most of us thought a mid march start was the most likely and I suppose if they decide on 1st to get going again then that wouldn't be too far fetched. As soon as the SFA/spfl decided to sacrifice the lower leagues it was always going to be difficult to start them up again without a marked change in circumstances. Whole thing is a shambles with Doncaster and Maxwell the main perpetrators.

Bairney The Dinosaur
Genuinely can anyone think of a reason why the part time teams in the championship can continue with testing but in the two leagues below part time teams can't?This is all down to TV deal money and nothing else.
Believe The Hype
Absolute shambles but what did the SFA expect? They played right into the government's hands by shutting us down in the first place. Did they honestly think it would be their shout whenever they wanted us back?

Once they had shat themselves and given up leagues one and two it was always going to be difficult to get them back up and running. They can now blame the govt for it but it was their stupid decision in the first place.
Long Suffering Bairn
I think we are kidding ourselves if we think the league will start up again. I think that's it - the league will be void, they are just postponing the announcement until next month.
