Guest
I think it’s broadly recognised that governance of football in Scotland is now a pretty corrupt affair. Officials of dubious ethics governing over a group of clubs who rely on the iffy officials to support them (or at least turn a blind eye)to member club’s questionable activities. The worrying thing is that we are at a point where those in “power” don’t even try to hide it anymore. Why should they when they can point to member clubs who are even more corrupt than they are?
Guest
On a slightly different league they call the premier one, another positive case for the stag weekend in Dubai, can’t wait to see the outcome......We will all have to wait until Lawwell tells the officials what to say and do.

roman_bairn
We will all have to wait until Lawwell tells the officials what to say and do.Lennon now criticising anyone who dared to criticise Celtic for travelling to Dubai. Making it clear he’s not apologising to anyone other than his own fans. Complaining about Celtic being unfairly treated. No acknowledgement of the shutdown of the lower leagues and their contribution. The sooner the arsehole is gone the better for Scottish Football......

The monkey seems to have freed himself from the organ grinder. Can't think that Lawell will be too happy after he apologised and said it was the wrong thing to do last week. Mixed messages isn't a good sign and probably puts Lennon one step closer to the exit door. This can only be a final attempt to get the tubes of the green brigade back on his side.
FFC 1876
Ultimately they set a precedent last season when they called the leagues early and declared whoever was first the league champions. If that same precedent isn't used again this season and instead they null & void the leagues then it'll be absolutely farcical but at this stage farcical is what we've come to expect from the leaders of Scottish football.
fatdoug1938
Can you call a league when not everyone has played each other even once?

No they didn't. That was the result of a vote. They could have a vote this time in favour of null and void.

What I think is immaterial. The league was called after a vote. The Executive asked for power to call without a vote earlier this season and it was refused. Clubs decided it would be them that would decide after a vote again this season if necessary. You have no guarantee that the vote will have the same outcome, especially with so few games played.
roman_bairn
I think one of the keys to the decision on null and void is what happens to any prize money? Do the clubs still get it and is it shared equally or based on league positions at the point the league is called?

There’ll be a vote on that too, and other clubs will decide that it should be split equally, then @Sergeant Wilson will come on here every day and tell us all how fair and reasonable that is

roman_bairn
Not sure, but the authorities will do anything to protect the TV deal, as null & void or cancelled top league would bankrupt many clubs as the consequences of quitting are with enormous with contractual penalties. I don’t think the top league will be called. It’s really what happens to the prize money in our division that I’m referring to ....
roman_bairn
And unless Falkirk go up you'll say it's the latest in a long line of conspiracies to ruin your club.It was certainly conspiracy when the SPL was in existence . It’s not in the SPFL. However is is unfair and based on greed and self interest rather than fairness....

One can notice and challenge the lies, hypocrisy, backhandedness and borderline corruption, and also note that these are not falkirk specific conspiracies. That may be too nuanced for your brain to cope with, however.

She's repeatedly said football shouldn't abuse the privileges they've been granted allowing them to do things the ordinary person can't. Now we've got the manager of the Scottish champions taking the piss out of her "airquote"privileges"airquote" and blatantly abusing them. He then goes further and says there's no Covid and the whole thing is political. If I was her I'd say "f**k you, you had your chance"
