My season ticket isn’t for the south stand, I’d like to think if we opened at 20% Prime then main standers would get the 1st opportunity to move to the away stand.

And you think that plan should be those who are willing to spend most should get priority?
I don’t....

The top up is to help the club, and give a donation to Strathcarron

it should give you first dibs on any reduced attendance game, but it doesn’t .

Exactly, to give the club  much needed extra income & also a donation to a very good cause. Alas probably many supporters now cannot afford this  & should not be penalised in this current climate

I keep reading this, most of the people I know have made out like Bandits this year, no fancy holiday, you couldn’t go out to socialise, have a meal, night out etc..., all home workers saved a fortune with no travel expenses.

its also strange how the Old Firm have kept the same numbers of season tickets when we’ve dropped 20% are they immune the financial ramifications of Covid?

Yes, I agree.

Everyone retired has done well along with public service workers and those office staff working from home.

Unfortunately, some people have been made redundant, including some fellow fans, so I would guess it is a mixed picture.

But yes, the number of ST’s sold is disappointing especially as the marketing has been quite strong.

I was a FTV subscriber up until May when my work announced pay cuts, then cancelled. I was a bit miffed at hearing I wouldn't be able to sign up again this year but totally get the argument that it should be no cheaper than a season ticket.

I watch every game on FTV as I rarely have the opportunity to get to games and falkirk is a little bit of a trek from here (particularly if I wanted a pint). I spend £156 a year on the subscription so I feel I'm giving the club something they wouldn't otherwise get. I also paid £120 a year for a reliable VPN.

So I looked up season tickets earlier today. A season ticket for the South stand is cheaper than I thought at £170 - only £14 more than I would otherwise have paid and if I do make it to a game this season it'll be free! Add on that I'll save on the VPN while the restrictions are in place and its actually cheaper to buy the season ticket.

I'll be signing up for one this evening [emoji106]

Because they have huge waiting lists while we have 3 to 4 thousand and that's about it.

We've sold 1600 odd season tickets in the midst of a global pandemic which is wreaking untold economic havoc, when we have no idea when or if supporters will set foot inside a stadium again, when we cannot even be sure of the season starting, let alone finishing, when we are mired in the third tier of Scottish football on the back of three consecutive seasons of utter dross. There are Championship clubs from similar sized towns who have sold a quarter of that. There is a club currently plying their trade in the Premier League who have not sold a single season ticket. Zero. There are many adjectives to describe our season ticket sales. Disappointing is not one of them.

I hear you but I thought we would manage 2000.

By what measurement did you think "we would manage 2000"? I mean, you cannot possibly be making a comparison with previous seasons, given that this is a year like no other. So what matrix are you using that has led to your disappointment at the level of season ticket sales?

Absolutely no methodology other than people would just be desperate to get back to watching football plus the return of BA.

As mentioned earlier lots of folks have had nothing much to spend money on for ages e.g. holidays, entertainment, etc.

Im not arguing with your assessment, just disappointed.

Doesnt matter if folk havent got much to spend money by the likes of entertainment etc. The fact is a good majority of people dont know when or if they will still be in work come the end of the year let alone next month.

And I'll take a wild guess that you do not have the first clue how many supporters may have been furloughed, made redundant, had their hours reduced or just plain forced to reassess their financial priorities. The "folk haven't been going on holiday or on the piss so must have plenty of disposable income available" argument is beyond reductive. Laughable.

Why would we have more  fans in financial hardship? Rangers, Celtic, Hearts  and even Livingston matched the previous seasons numbers.

Not going out for almost six months, would easily cover the cost. My car had its annual service last week, I’d done 5k miles I usually do 15k. If you hadn’t saved cash whilst in lockdown wtf were you doing. In fact if you cancelled SKY sports when there was no live sport. You could have paid for the majority of a season ticket.

Every penny I saved in travel costs for the wife, fuel costs for me, going to games, drinking, restaurants and generally living I spent on doing up the garden 😐

Still buy my ST though as I have done every season since I left school.

Fully expect a few fans won't due to hardship and many simply won't due to watching the game on TV isn't the same. Christ. even watching a TV game isn't the same as last season with no crowd.

Still think we have a good few hundred ST to sell though.
