The Falkirk FC Thread

Recommended Posts

Was confirmed on Facebook that expat fans will have the opportunity to pay per game at the same price as last year.

I have to ask why?

i am paying over 20 quid a game to watch the same stuff. Our taxes are paying for furlough - expats will all be earning decent coin, they should pay the same as season ticket holders, we are all in the same boat this season. -Watching via FFCTV

If the club offer pay per game  to home based fans at a vastly reduced price as to what I have paid , I will never get a season ticket again.

No way should season ticket holders be mugged off by paying double to watch FFC TV.

How do you know what expats earn out of interest?

is there any issue with the rights to broadcast at 3pm Saturday slots for example that mean the club need to pay more?

Those who have an existing monthly or yearly FTV subscription and kept this running over lockdown will have this honoured - however this is closed to new subscribers.

Prices for home game pay-per-views are being considered by the club just now and season ticket value will be one of the factors considered.

Watched the highlights, have to say im excited by Keena, Morrison and Francis. Morrison especially looked central to all the attacking play.

First goal we conceded was a bit poor from Hall and maybe the LB and the second looked like Mutch got surprised by the cross/shot.

Then again it was our highlights so the rest of the game might not have been as favourable!

Any doubts whether the average Falkirk supporter is a moaning faced old c**t dispelled right here......

Interesting experiment just started in Florida.

The Governor has removed all restrictions and told businesses to get back to normal.

Florida has a huge elderly population so this will be watched carefully worldwide.

If the infection rate is no worse than anywhere else then ‘game on’.

It's not going to be game on though, because no one is going to copy that approach whether it works in Florida or not.

Why not?

Just watching Andrew Marr show and experts tending towards new approaches other than societal lockdowns.

Tide is turning.

Vaccine miles off.

Its not the fact the tide is turning its the fact the economic model the west normally goes for is well and truly f**ked, without some sort of normality more jobs will be lost more people will become homeless and in short rising poverty.  Vaccine will give a limited amount of immunity.  If Boris hadnt caught it we wouldnt have seen a lockdown that was imposed like the last time, NS wants to try and champion this one and the view people have on her is she has handled it well though all devolved Govts are being cautious in the approach to this rather than go out and lift all restrictions.  The end result is until we have a vaccine the only other alternative is herd immunity and with that come the risks of more deaths.  NS doesn't want that option as it shows as an uncaring Govt and Boris will pretty much do what Cummings says though other tories will  throw him to the wolves as his options so far arent helping the financial sector.

Anyway, re the highlights... Third goal was lovely passing but one thing that looked really promising was how well Francis did to set up the second. Certainly doesnt look like another Sammon all passive and soft up front. Was more than happy to chase down and bully the defender off the ball. Quite a bif of presence we should have up front with him and Dowds. Hopefully the two of them are happy to put it about a bit.

The only financial system to produce a reasonable standard of living for the majority of the population is a mixed economy eschewing capitalism which provides funding for welfareism  for those that require it. Witness Cuba and Venezuela for failed socialism.

You are therefore correct in stating that the economy must be protected for that to continue. In the case of NS she is, and always has been, a rabid socialist and therefore has no concern about protecting business.

At the end of the day, despite all the protestations from people on here, things will be opened up, some folks will die a little earlier than otherwise, but the overall health and wealth of the whole of society will be put first.

Was that not a foul by Francis?

Anyway, he did well and things look good.

Camera work was poor but maybe they were just bedding in new equipment.

Re: your first post that I am quoting, these are human beings that you are talking about taking part in this "experiment", not lab rats or monkeys. However, as you seem to find this "experiment" quite interesting, I am setting up a GoFundMe account to get you a one way ticket to Florida so that you can witness this "experiment" at close quarters. Folks, any donation that you can contribute, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.

Then I'll keep my fingers crossed re: the part that I've highlighted from your second post.

You callous c*nt.

In the top flight the away clubs are only allowed to show the games live to people who live abroad. This means the away teams can charge a subscription to show them. Anyone in this country has to purchase the match via the home teams stream otherwise. I would think league one will be something similar. Noones being mugged off it's just the way the rules are set out on TV coverage. If you're that desperate just get a VPN FFS.

Watched the highlights with Akeels one for the second goal it looks as if we finally have a bit of a physical presence in the team and dare i say it Sammon as much as he didnt get any goals looks as if he is trying to create something for Keena.

As for the established CH part of DM interview i only hope that whoever comes in displaces Durnan as much as Hall has some mistakes in him, Durnans is just a red card waiting to happen at the best of times.

I don’t think we can go to Florida at the moment?

My earlier holiday to there was cancelled.
Anyway, make your appeal for 2 as my wife wants to go as well.

Thanks
