The Falkirk FC Thread

Starting with Partick (a)  no doubt, which will also be the first of our two visits through there.   And 14 away games.

Definitely Clyde away twice, that would fit the “screw Falkirk” mentality of the SPFL, eh? Maybe add Cove and Thistle away twice as well? For home twice, Peterhead should be a stick on, plus Montrose, Forfar and maybe Dumbarton. That leaves Airdrie and East Fife as the last double away games. Now, if this comes true, you aren’t just paranoid, they are out to get you.

Are you capable of letting a post on this thread pass without comment?

I was thinking about it earlier and didnt think it was possible to end up with more than 19 away games?

You do realise this is Scottish Football we are talking about here, anything is possible

I dare say they will manage to f**k up a 27 game season when the fixtures are announced tomorrow

Oh come on Tx, where's your sense of humour?  I was being wryly sceptical, in a derisive kind of way. With added cynicism.

But now that you mention it....

Like every employer issuing short term contracts there will be a get out clause for the worst case scenario. Human Resource departments will have the appropriate legal wording in place.

If FFC haven't then hell mend them for their stupidity.

Really? Do you think a Keena or an Alston will sign a contract that states if there is no football we are not going to pay you or bin you completely - when they will have other club choices? And especially if other teammates are getting paid regardless as there is no such clause in their contract.

Does FFC even have a HR department? I thought Lex did that himself.

Would suspect every player on contract will have a clause should the worst happen to terminate the contract with stipulated compensation.

Football Clubs will be no different from any other company which have employees on a fixed term contract. The worse happens and business comes to a grinding halt come November.  They have to factor that into the employees contracts.

As for an HR department they would have to have a suitably qualified individual employed or on board as a consultant. Deans background with KPMG will ensure that side of things are covered.
