The Falkirk FC Thread

Ross Wilson can f**k off. I’d have expected him to have done something to help us out and send some prospects our way over the years. Falkirk fan my backside.
I certainly think it's strange we never seem to have received much from him, maybe he thinks the same of our board as the rest of us?

It wouldnt surprise me there seems to be a never ending line of folk they have manage to piss of in regards to former players, staff, fans etc

As applicable to RW as anyone else. In the same bracket as George Craig for me.

Ooft, Ray will do some damage to that £5m.

Can see Ray handing Denny Johnstone a 3 year deal at £1k a week. :D

And Tidser

He can take the lot of his signings as far as I care.

Until the pressure built up towards the end of last season I hadn't realised what a shit talker Ray was. This article pretty much confirms it though. Yet another in a long line of inept bluffers our current owners have allowed through the door only to take the piss completely.

Funny how when the fans bid was on they couldn't solicit other bids quickly enough, then having smothered the life out of it with the Mark Campbell bullshit, suddenly nothing. They don't want to sell, don't want to invest, don't care about progressing the club, quite the opposite in fact.

Sweet Jesus I wish they'd fucking do one.

On a lighter note, hopefully Ray throws us some of that sweet sweet hampden dough for the likes of Tidser Telfer and Durnan et al.

After all the boys never put a foot wrong and is pound for pound the greatest Scottish manager in the history of the game

Respected and loved him as a player for us but I Thot he came across quite dull.

I've loved the podcasts but some have wowed me and some have bored me, still love them all tho.

Nothing has changed my opinion of them on the park but I'd be concerned if Mr Deuchar was my specialist.

The podcasts on the whole have been really good, the Jeffries and Totten ones I even shed a tear or two.

Some choices of subject have been a bit weird though - Daren Dodds talked mostly about Hibs and it was pretty boring. I haven't heard the Ivo one but I'd consider him more of a Pars legend than the couple of seasons he spent at FFC.

Deuchar came across as pretty thick and I too was amazed he went to medical school.

Billy Brown, Yogi, Ian McCall, and Lord Stainrod would be my suggestions for the next ones.

Ian McCall saying on BBC deal to bring Rudden to partick is pretty much done on a permanent move with sell on to rangers when eventually sold. thanked Ross Wilson for getting deal done , why can't we leverage history with Ross Wilson? not talking about rudden in general.

McCall also trying to get darrion McKinnon in from Hamilton building a strong team there and said playing with 2 wingers and attacking league leaders today. it's a real shame we couldn't get him in when we ended up with McKinnon

Yeah it's a real shame we did not get McCall as our manger.

I mean we sent our best man to get him - Craig "I don't know anything about running a football club" Campbell. That McCall then thought we were a basket case of a club and said no is something of a mystery.

Still , as you say , CC went on to recruit Ray and that went very smoothly and without any issues.

Good interview with Lee Miller, reading between the lines, we won’t see much movement with players till end of season. Guess it’s a case of waiting to see if Longridge and hopefully MCManus are still here at the close off transfer window. Toshney  we couldn’t match Inverness offer, strange one as with Inverness debt issues they gamble on a player pretty much on/off treatment table for large part of career.
Genuinely think that M&M have improved the morale, and the spirit within the squad, my real concern is  losing anyone now we seem to have a winning mentality.

That is my fear regarding players.

We have to get up and we really need 3/4 to make sure of it. We haven’t lost in 8 games but we still lack quality in certain areas.

Powers that be will be looking at it and think this squad is fine when we all know it isn’t still.

Completely agree, maybe M&M are keeping cards close to chest on players, but real concerns that upstairs are playing hardball

Any signings must not only improve the team now. But be a basis to rebuild the squad to be competitive if ( and its a big if ) we get promoted.

Who do we have that is good enough to be competitive in a promoted side ? 4 with a maybe on one or two more.

Would prefer quality over quantity that would give us a core of 7 players that the future can be built around.

I think we will see another 2 at least in. The keeper situation might need a permanent fix with Bell surprise surprise maybe out for the season.

Tidser surely will be going out on loan or for good and we might look at a loan deal too. The top league are on a break which will hold loans from there for now.

I took more from McCracken's interview couple weeks ago that they would use the whole of the January window to see where we are.

We're currently no better off than we were before the window. Da vita has replaced longbridge at the mo but he cant get a start and we have the young lad in for toshney. Must be difficult to budget though when you dont know who is still going to be here.  Time we stopped fannying about with these loan deals that can be called back in january. Should only be the case if all parties agree. How can you plan ahead when you haven't a clue whose going to still be here.
