The Falkirk FC Thread

Recommended Posts

Obviously some doubts about two rookies being in charge, huge doubts about the rabble of a decision making process to make them permanent but have to say well done to Cracks and BSLM after the last two weeks. Finally they have managed to stamp a wee bit of fight in this team.

Of course, I may yet read that they made an arse of it at two up today but either way
We get 0 from those six under McKinnon. 4 in the circumstances (f**k you Charlie) is such an improvement and today represents the first time we have won when it can really count all season.

If M&M can get “it’s not over until it’s over” as the mantra rather than fearty McKinnon’s “a points great, don’t go looking for more” then that alone will make a huge difference.

Someone said McKinnon would have lost that game today. That’s probably true, and it would most likely to have been 2-1 after he bottled it when we were one goal up.

Strong echoes of the late winner everyone seems to have forgotten: Scott Harrison knocking in at the back post in Inverness.

I remember thinking then we'd improve and pull through by the end of the season. How wrong I was. Let's hope we maintain the progress this time.

1st time I can remember us winning a game with a late goal since the Bob McHugh days... both LM and DM were in the team back then too so guessing they have something to do with it.

These were the days when we had a great team spirit where the players and the fans believed we could win no matter how late in the game it was. There was a post on the Hibs Pie and Bovril that summed it up. Raging at his team as he slated them for not appreciating the Falkirk patented  last minute goal and Hibs losing because of it.

Houston lost it at the end but give the guy credit for putting  team on the park with that attitude.

If that attitude is returning then well done M&M.

The winter fixtures ain't going to be pretty but it will make or break the season.

Big test next week for M&M but by all accounts not losing a game thus far for them must be a good confidence booster, only bad result was the 0-0 at east fife, but last week we would’ve lost under McKinnon, this week we wouldn’t have fought back for a winner under McKinnon. The fight and fire seems to be slowly coming back, a few new additions in jan if we get some will be 1. A boost, 2. A judge of what M&M view as the expectations of standards.

As someone else said before they are pissing with McKinnons cock, so here’s hoping they have higher expectations.

Heres hoping you can live up to your pre season expectation and have the shitty league won by Christmas and accumulate a points total of about 60. Your fellow fanboys words, nobody elses.

Tidser is definitely a talented player. There might well be a bit of confidence rebuilding needed, and a bit fitness work wouldn’t go amiss either. McKinnon seems to have been quick to sideline players he either didn’t rate, or who questioned him at all.
M&M have definitely gotten plenty of work to establish wtf was going on, and how they can re-boot the whole sorry mess.

Found a card for our friends over the water.

Absolutely outstanding [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

On a separate note, we looked much more solid at the back without durnan, I’d leave him out again this Saturday. Only liability was Doyle, which almost proved costly. The pair of them can gtf, Doyle is much more interested in making an arse of himself off the pitch when he actually makes more of an arse of himself on it.

Please refrain from using the word “gotten”. This isn’t North America!
