Guest
The usual. Anyone football related who is out of work, three or four Headed Notepaper collectors, a few footie computer game players. All a bit scary if they are trusting the same selection process that bought us Hartley and McKinnon. Where McKinnon had absolutely no track record that screamed out he was good enough, Hartley was given free rein to do as he pleased. Are those days in the past? I thought George Craig was a lesson that could never be forgotten, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

It has been the same for any manager with our owners, agree budget and the manager spends it They of course live by their appointment of manager, which is more miss than hit but Id have George Craig and Craig Campbell as their biggest fuk ups and not letting the appointed manager do their job.

You just have to look at what Fergus McCann did at Celtic to see how to do it. Objective with timeline. Achievable business plan. Correct people for the job in the right positions. KPI's put in place to ensure objective is on schedule. Action-Review-Revise and back to the start again. Have quality management in place to ensure standards are kept up and plan for continual improvement. That is how a successful business is run and you are correct there is no reason a Football Club cannot be run on the same lines. I'm pretty sure Lex has all of this covered

Wow , imagine if we hadn't ditched that academy - it would be well over a million!!!!! Wise , wise men (and one unpaid female volunteer who went to away reserve games ). I'm off to read that gushing Craig Campbell tribute again , the one Martin Ritchie wrote when he got punted. I feel it somewhat relevant.

If they could do it at Tynecastle that had more land constraints. Then it could have been done as it was known the incinerator was closing. The club got taken to the cleaners by the council and got well and truly screwed. It should be remembered that the original Brockville was supposed to be built further back from Watson Street where the main stand was to be and the stadium was to be a 40,000 capacity. And where would the money have come from to redevelop brockville?

What - Morrisons would pay for the redevelopment of Brockville without actually getting to build a supermarket there? That would be a great trick.

Who in their right mind was going to give us a loan to build a 6-10k seater stadium at brockville. That and the council owned a certain percentage of the brockville land. You can also add to that the fact we had a 1.5million pound loan to pay off first to the guy down south who helped save the club. Gaz FFC
Pretty sure before either Hartley got it or maybe Ray we announced over 100 applicants. 70 folk find jobs or realise they didn't want to work for our board?
Crawford Baptie
Let’s us not kid ourselves with the selection process with a proposed new manager. Nothing is decided until sanctioned by the MSG. Until we have a complete change upstairs it’s business as usual ( third division style)They will do what they’ve done the last 4 times. Invite applications, interview people then take on someone who hasn’t applied or had an interview.

Guest
All M&M can do is improve organisation, fitness and confidence. They can do nothing to improve player’s skill levels. If they achieve those three things, then in Seaside 1, that should be enough. If there are players who take the huffpuff because they’d rather have McKinnon, then M&M really do have a big problem on their hands.

All early days but it doesnt seem like there is much huff and puff going on because of Ray has gone, only a dark cloud has been lifted. The only huff puff shown so far is greater effort both on the training ground and park
