A failure at every club he has played for what's his goal scoring record.

I wouldnt call 17 goals in 27 games in one season in the  top flight a failure. Lets face it if andy ryan can score 20 odd goals in a season at this level then he should do just fine.

Depends how you look at it. If he's considered as a main striker then 1 goal every 5 games isn't great (although I'd expect this ratio to increase in L1 considering a lot of his games were in the EPL and Championship), if as a second striker making room and chances for others then I think he'll do ok. As good as we could expect given our circumstances I would say.

Yip, 9 international caps for Giovanni Trapattoni  and transfer fees totalling over 2 million quid. That’s what happens when you are a failure at every club you’ve played for.

Would be quite happy with hippo back. Not prolific but can run about like headless chicken and do the donkey work.

And hopefully stay onside.

I think he would do alright, but we’d need at least one other out and out striker to either partner Sammon or be back up for him.

Still got at least 4 or 5 squad places to fill, I imagine they’ll be cheaper options than the guys we’ve brought in so far.

Conor Sammon has played over 150 games in the top tiers of English football including 31 appearances in the Premier League. He is an absolutely outstanding signing for this level and will get 30 goals IMO.

I can’t see us bringing in many more big names and we’ll now be looking for loan signings and prospects to pad out the bench.

There's your starting line up sorted. Still like to see us sign another two strikers(one on loan), two defenders as back up, a ball winning midfielder and another two attacking midfielders(hopefully Dunne is one) I also heard the Hippo rumours hopefully coming in as a winger not a striker.
