It's hard to figure out sarcasm when Morton fans did suggest Tidser should be looking at EPL or English championship when he first left Morton for that 30 odd grand and not the six figure sum suggested. Let's get re promoted then take stock of what we have. If we start with a core of 3 - 4 players that could get us in the premier we will have done very well. He has gone for experience at centre backs and midfield. Get an experienced pro at centre forward then we have a spine of a side. Mutch will start in goals it about time we produced our own goalkeeper. George Watson was the last one and 30 years is disgrace.Geordie came into the team mid/ late 70s so you can add another 15 years to your estimate ( Darren Hill cannot possibly count as a real goalkeeper). Just asking for a bit of momentum to be challenging for top 4. St Mirren basically done it when they won the title with about 4 months of it the season before surving relegation. Ayr United last year continued their momentum. Queens in 13/14 when we beat them in the play-offs. St Mirren weren’t relegated. They pulled off a once in a generation come back to survive on the last day, then stayed up, kept most of the players they recruited in January and pushed on with a manager better than this level.What players at Ayr United in league one made you think they were gonna be challenging for the league/playoffs? Everyone ridiculed Shankland the last time he was at this level.Queens are possibly the exception but even then they finished 4th.
