I called Petravicius a shitebag yesterday for not attempting to get a 50/50 ball on the edge of the Alloa penalty area, if the looks I got could have killed, I’d be dead. He is no use playing in front of defenders really but he only has to do that because of our laboured midfield. When you give him balls he can run on to, good things happen. It happened in precisely that manner yestersay and agains Partick. The one time we worked him free to hit the byline he produced an assist. I think plenty will see it as a wee adventure and if we are winning every week it will be easy to foster a feelgood factor despite the shambles that got us there in the first place. I might enjoy the #journey in the end, but atm I really just want it to be a vehicle for change at the club. I remember standing on the wee terracing up there talking about it with the guy next to me and we watched them do it again and again and again, creating loads of chances which were eventually converted. Unfortunately our midfield give the opposition full backs all day to get back into position and the covering midfielder has time to wander over and stand beside our only pacy wide man. He's not THE issue, but he's a symptom of how crap we are. He had a ball to run onto yesterday in the first half when he picked it up with him and Rudden on the halfway line against two of their defenders(I think it was Graham and Taggart, who have a combined age of about 145). He just about lost control of the ball four times over a 50 yard run, didn't accelerate away from them, didn't go directly at the goal, made no attempt to use Rudden and ended up having to tamely play it off the first man to win a corner. I’ll be paying good money to watch part time footballers. The adventure will be for the average players coming to our all seater stadium to play in front of c.3000 crowds. I will still go to the games but I’m not looking forward to it. We should not be in this position. The board, managers and most of the players have let us down badly. I don’t think your assessment is to far off. We might keep Dixon due to his age and experience.
