Ayr at home is massive for us... at least a point and signs of improvement, we'll be fine... but another defeat and the plunge may just be on...
This season's been too consistently daft to predict how it might end... just about anything is possible.

Yous are undoubtedly in a bit of turmoil but thats not going to do it. It needs to be freefall. Not that it cant happen, just that I dont think it can be predicted. The Pars are close enough that another bad week for them put them bang in it. Yous arent. Yous are 3 bad weeks away.

I've been patient with Johansson, and still think that was right, but we aren't 3 bad weeks away... we're one more stinking home performance away from things getting downright ugly.

This is how 'freefall' happens... a team suddenly finds itself in a situation where, no matter what the players or manager do, it can't find a way to win. Could happen to Dunfermline, could happen to Alloa, but we're definitely not immune.

You’ll understand when I say we know the feeling. Not since Totten’s last season have I felt that utter disconnect from what we were seeing from Hartley’s farce. Anger had gone, replaced by a curiosity of just how bad was it all going to get.

Suspect Ton fans are still in the angry at everything phase.

IMO everyone from Queens down should be nervous, IF we can keep the momentum going and Alloa can keep picking up points. Partick look to have gotten thier shit together.

We may fall back with the United and County games coming up, but by gw 30 there could be 4 or 5 teams close together at the bottom.

Looking at the league and albeit results depending there is 12 points between 4th and bottom when you look at it is only 4 wins am not saying we could get 4th but a drop in form from Caley and Ton to go on a losing streak could see them dragged into it but that’s all depending if us and thistle can keep going

Anger was gone at the stenny game I walked out bemused convinced we were completely f*cked.

So that’s Bohemians ‘withdrawing’ from the Challenge Cup meaning Ross County will play East Fife next Friday I believe so we will have a free week again next Saturday.

Whilst I’m happy not to have Dundee Utd and Ross County back to back at the moment when we’re trying to gain some positive momentum this does mean we’ll have a midweek trip up to Dingwall at some point.

Would agree with that. Not because it was the Warriors we were playing. That performance was right down there with the first QotS game. It was the day when we knew McKinnon (or any manager) wasn’t ever going to get anything from that group of players. I still have nightmares about Aero’s contribution that day.

Not even angry, just beyond fed up.

Also shows why bringing the Alloa game forward makes sense.

This sphincters are being well and truly tightened in Greenock.
McKinnon relegating Morten would be the bants achievement of the century. There might actually be spontaneous combustions.

They seem to think they are in trouble. I hope they are right as the more the merrier in the quagmire, dont see it myself. They will plod along picking up enough to remain at arms length IMO

Strong PARallels to what's happening on the DA thread.

They're absolutely shiting it too, but I kind of feel they'll just do enough to stay above 2 of Alloa, PT and ourselves.

Hence the importance of the Alloa game. If we win, then for the first time this season, a genuine bit of momentum. Look at Partick.....two consecutive wins, and suddenly people start to think they have got their act together.

It’s not only what it does for us, its how it affects every other team in the league. We go from being a skoosh to take 3 points from to being much less of a certainty. We need to get this win.

Drawing or getting beat in Alloa will be really really bad thing, and we all know that it’s hardly been a great hunting ground for us in the past.

The club needs continuity and a bit more stability we cant go on with the player turnover but signing a team of duds was never going to help much.  The biggest thing is player continuity signing a new team every 6-12 months is never going to have us anywhere near for contending for promotion with McShane and Mclean i would hope that it gives us a start and somewhere to build on.
On another couple of points i see Harrison has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

In other news GC is being criticised for his role in Lennons departure or words to that effect in the words of Kris Boyds article "what does he actually offer" Least it isnt just us he f**ked up.

George Craig is director of football and Graeme Mathie is head of recruitment. But what do they actually bring to the table?

I don’t think a draw at Alloa will be a bad result after Saturday’s unexpected surprise.

Nevertheless, I was one of those who had doubts about bringing forward the Alloa game, but I think McKinnon just about found his team on Saturday and we’ve got a bit of momentum, so can’t wait for Saturday tbh.

We’d be up to eighth with a win which is quite incredible given that the windows just closed....
