Guest
I'm not aware of any significant work being done to speak to individuals capable of contributing £5k+ but then the club has never made the effort to understand who its supporters are.Who said it was by the club? This is not a club initiative

EdiBairn
I'm supportive of the overall idea of fan ownership but for me there are still a few issues needing ironed out. I think the whole thing has been premised on the belief that there are hundreds of people both ready and willing to contribute large 4 or 5 figure sums. While there will be many Falkirk supporters with that kind of money to invest, the numbers willing to do so will not be very large IMO, especially given we don't have a fully formed proposal yet. I'm also curious as to how the organisers could have the faintest idea who to speak to privately regarding this. Beyond a few obvious individuals, I doubt anyone has a clue of who amongst the support would be able to invest these sums. -

NUMBER 7
The idea of this fans ownership proposal has been targeted at persons who have been financially suportive of the club over the years either individually or through their companies to see what interest could be attracted. People then talk with other like minded people who might be interested. I have a friend in Leeds and one in Bolton who have pledged monthly amounts as I forwarded the link to them, and through friendship view Falkirk as their Scottish team.

You didn’t think 100 would sign up for this plan. Over 750 now with over the 240k pledged. Plenty like the plan

TBF you said Falkirk fans were stupid and should have no say in the running of the club. Also I'm intrigued as to why you need to edit just about every post - even a couple of short sentences like that one on a single line. I think it's quite funny and just wanted to know if it's part of the wind up? RC55 FFC
No it's not but how do the sponsors identify potential patrons without the assistance of the club? GDPR issue in here somewhere?Surely this isn’t a serious post? How do you think business people (generalising the patrons here) get on in life? They do so by meeting likeminded people through local/national business, socialising, the Bairns Business Club/Networking sessions & let’s not forget the common denominator here, they all support the same football team.

While I agree with most of it, there has been much more anger shown by fans against a board. The protest against the Deans at Berwick and the half time walk out against the board that presided over Falkirk before they got involved.
Andreas Kelevra
I wonder why they haven’t contacted shareholders about being patrons? Perhaps It’a carve up and they only want well known faces and friends of the club. I know of 3 people who have a lot more shares than traditional minimum, who were given those shares at the last crisis as Christmas presents. The person who gifted those shares is an existing shareholder and is a not a football fan but wants to see the club do well. Why not contact shareholders? some aren’t loyal fans and got shares by inheritance but still want to see the club be successful Edited January 12, 2019 by Andreas Kelevra
Guest
No it's not but how do the sponsors identify potential patrons without the assistance of the club? GDPR issue in here somewhere?I would say if the people running this relied on the club giving the names this wouldn’t happen. Their knowledge and relationships with potential patrons and the fans is pretty limited IMO. You only need see what turnout the two fan ownership meetings attracted to see that. The minute people started to rattle the clubs cage and someone credible came up with a plan look at the response.

An email went to 22,000 people via email from the club. I would have thought that would pick those people up?
