The Falkirk FC Thread

Recommended Posts

Falkirk have signed former Partick Thistle captain Abdul Osman until the end of the season, and hope to add another new face before the weekend.
Osman, 31, has been training with the Championship club since November after leaving Greek Superleague side Lamia.
He is the second signing of the January transfer window following the addition of left-back Paul Dixon.
"He has been very impressive in training," manager Ray McKinnon told the Falkirk website.
"He looks really fit and has played consistently at a good standard over the past few years."
Meanwhile, it is believed Falkirk have also completed a deal to sign Motherwell midfielder Ross McLean, who is currently on loan at Morton.
Is McLean the other new face?

Could swear the McLean paragraph wasn't there in the original article about the Osman signing. Added later therefore could well be him they were referring to.

In addition to McLean. Ian McShane I believe.

Dixon is obviously a steady head we badly need one at the back. Hopefully can play a similar role to dods or mccracken.  For players like osman its all about getting them motivated. Hes a cut above most in this league and hopefully realises that if hes shite for us his career is basically down the pan. Mcshane is another decent reliable signing at this level. Just need a wee bit of flair now.

Yes, still progress upwards from the levels they are at. What point are you trying to make here?
At 31 after the dizzying heights of Partick to the bottom of the Championship where do you see him progress to?
Livi if he knocks it out the park?
He could be a good signing no doubt, might transform your squad, but progress, improve and move up in the game, I would have my doubts.

McShane will do an excellent job for Falkirk, was 1 of our best performers last season when we won the championship.

Was underrated by a lot of our fans.

Best pals with Lewis Kidd so hope he has a word.

Seems that defence and midfield are getting a bit of experience in which should be good in a dog fight. We are absolutely desperate for a striker of that ilk as if we don’t score we won’t survive

2 strikers - Rudden not my cup of tea. Honest enough but limited in terms of technique
