The Falkirk FC Thread

If Falkirk keep saying "Morton are trying to create a rivalry" despite no such thing happening.

You will have grasped that this sentence makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Given you have appointed yourself the spokesperson for all football supporters outside the confines of Falkirk, Grangemouth and Stenhousemuir, I think some of them will be more than a wee bit concerned about the manner in which you have chosen to represent their collective views.

They might be concerned but they'll all agree. No-one sees Falkirk as rivals outside that triangle of beige.

As we try to stay in contention whilst desperately waiting for the silver bullet (again) that is the January transfer window to come , I wonder what quality of player and on what length of contract Ray will be able to recruit.

Obviously there is a limit on loan players and we do seem to need a fair few new players (again) so he will have to sign players good enough to get us out of the mire (again). Given the Jan window is the wee window where not too many move from clubs, it will prove a tough task to get the right quality prepared to move to the bottom of the league.

And assuming this is another sticking plaster to get us to the end of the season again (again) ,when we can build another new team (_____) ,  it would point towards 6 month contracts - you're not going to get decent players unless they are too old, very young, unwanted, eternally crocked or have serious baggage .

Thank God the league is basically rubbish.

Would it be that bad if you were relegated? I genuinely mean that in a good way.

The last couple of seasons have been a struggle. Sometimes a season at the seaside does you the power of good.

The positives are you would be able to get rid of the deadwood. In addition to this you would have the budget to be certanties to win the league.

You would probably be able to attract  higher level championship standard players at that level too. The bounce from that could propel you into a promotion push to the top division, the season after.

There is a good feeling going to a game at the seaside, knowing that more often than not (home or away)  you are going to pump the opposition.

Sometimes a step backwards for two step forwards
