They could however presumably lay down their own sanctions about whether any newly registered players would be eligible to play in a League match though. Absolutely, it's at the points deduction end of the scale in terms of likely punishments in the event of Falkirk even being found guilty, ie it's obviously not going to happen. The SPFL rules do state though that a panel has the power to "order that a Club concerned be debarred from Registering Players for such period as it thinks appropriate". While it's not going to happen in this case, it is within their rules.
