Maybe. However a Chairman’s statement which says we “followed procedures” but doesn’t explain the basis on which she rebutted the Morton chairman’s oral  claim for £100k compensation, as mentioned in his own statement, suggests the matter has not been settled.

Clearly this Q&A is nothing but  a PR release to keep the fans quiet. You know you are in for a mind numbing future when words like sustainability, procedures and spreadsheets are trotted and sod all about football.

Bit naive though to admit openly you had to pay £ 60k to remove the  previous incumbents. The standard severance clause is usually three months salary.

You know your umpteenth stroll down an avenue of legalise nonsense is as easy to pick apart as all of the others don’t you? An oral claim of £100k? You think that has any basis in law? Are you mental?

The only person who hasn’t reached “settlement” is you, and you probably never will. We all know that if nothing more is said on the subject, you will interpret that as meaning “we got our £100k, but Rae had to agree to keeping it quiet”.

”The standard severance clause is usually three months salary”. Jesus Aitch Christ,  now you have just pulled that from your arse too. There is no such thing as a “standard severance clause”.

Let it go ffs.

Branch Ton is having a fucking mare on this thread. Thats been nearly 3 weeks since Snakegate, and he is still thrashing around here like a heartbroken teenager.

Its funny, but quite harrowing to watch at the same time.

Like the Office, if it was set around an irrelevant football team playing at a dilapidated ground in a squalid, land that time forgot style cowp.

It's funny that they are run by a dynasty of apparent millionaires, but even on their best season they are still a bang average championship club.

You sum up Failkirk’s future rather well in that final paragraph. The smell of Admin is probably no worse than refinery fumes though.

Your Chairthingy obviously has some sort of sway over you lot if you think “we followed procedures”  means it’s a baseless claim Crawford pulled out his arse.  You probably think that a sustainability budget means Rat has £200k to spend in January.. Good luck with that.

Bet you are wishing you didn’t troll the Morton thread now.

You want us to phone Inverclyde Council and ask them where your carer has gotten to?

Of course it's baseless. He literally said in that tear stained press release that he decided that's what he wanted. Until his dad died , he was responsible for making chocolates, ffs. Now he supposedly is a legal wizard.

Chairthingy? Oh dear... Wont bother getting you to expand on that one. Not sure I want to expose myself to whats under the surface.

Wishing we didnt troll the Morton thread?

M8, we stole your manager, instigated a tsunami of tears and snotters from Crawford Rae, had the whole of P&B laughing at you and still have your good self on strings, ironically in the Falkirk thread.

Even the most psychotic of your fellow fans have faded back to the familiar comfort of your clubs dimly lit obscurity, yet here you are, with salty tears reminiscent of a Sevco fan lecturing everyone how tax law works, mashing away at your keyboard in the hope that it will make the pain go away.

It wont m8. But feel free to hang about and be ridiculed some more.[emoji6]

As a Board we will be doing everything in our power to support Ray to turn this around and preserve our Championship status. We need you, the fans to help us"

End of.

We need everyone pulling together because we are in the shit and squabbling over Academy costs at this time ain't going to help.

When you are asking the fans for ‘help’, are you including cash support?

If they were to make a cogent case then I wouldn’t be averse to putting ‘my hand in my pocket’.

We've been living rent free in his head for so long, I'm actually starting to feel guilty. Feel like we should buy him a rug or a spider plant or something. We can spend a tenner and he can pretend it's compo and go away happy.

Only compo you are getting

People expecting our chair to come out and say the players we've signed are rubbish and the season's doomed are deluded. Clown shoes tried that tactic last year which resulted in them downing tools for 3 months.

Also, people calling for Lang, this person and that person to resign. Who's going to replace them? We can't even get fans to give £10 a month to Bairn for life. Do you really think we're going to get them to launch an ownership bid?

Here you go again. Administration. You don’t really understand what triggers it, do you? Not a clue.

Only Brechin last season would come out with that  statement after 5 league games.

If the results so far in this league are going as they are, the play offs with a good December onwards could be achievable, let's not forget we had two league wins till January last season, the luck of 3 games v Brechin and the play offs were still a possibility only we were still on a rollercoaster ride of performances in that 2nd period. We obviously would need to take an amazing run and more than likely a good few players in but its far from right anything off when 40% of your league has a chance of achieving something.

Only in February onwards I reckon you can you actually call doom day

Statement seems odd considering there's no real need for it. I would enjoy something like this to be put out quarterly giving us some real insight into how the club runs but this is basically her covering her own back. It's Hartley and Mitch who messed up, we hired them based on decent track records and were let down. It's probably true but seems weird that it's been put out by the club, must be feeling a bit of pressure.

If, as she says, we're now financially sustainable without relying on cup runs or player sales then it's maybe not all doom and gloom but the numbers didn't really add up for me. Academy cost £340k, would have needed £400k a year to stay viable, club lost £666k last financial year and we've reduced costs by £500k. Then spent £60k to punt Hartley and however much it will be to get McKinnon and co.

I'd be interested to know (but realise they're unlikely to tell us) where the sustainable budget stands in terms of  other teams in this division. Anyone know how much we made from the Rangers game? Then we can have some pointless fun working out what the playing budget is for this year if that gave us an extra 18%.

Actually, she knows Zero about football if she thinks we're capable of making the play offs at the moment.

Better just to say OK we've screwed up big time and hopefully we can get out of this mess, let's see what we're looking at come January, in the meantime hopefully the support will still back the team. Just speak the truth instead of laying the blame on everyone else.

She doesn't even need to mention the players.

Dont you think that saying we cannot currently make the playoffs, saying we have screwed up badly, and lets see what we are looking at in January carries a negative inference on the players.

Translation: "we are irreparably shite" "we should never have signed these guys" "we want to bin as many as possible as soon as possible"
