The Falkirk FC Thread

Recommended Posts

The reasoning behind it must be a big kick in the baws for him, basically they are only allowed a certain amount of foreign players in their league and given he had played in the top tier of his previous country he would of been okay. So he has small club United to blame for his rejection.

Disagree, we’ve brought in a right back on trial as we don’t have one(McGhee aside)

Russell can cover left back/left mid, surely can’t say he got rid of anyone who can do that.

Hippo played left back for livi before we signed him. Played there against us and didnt look out of place.

I'd take him as a different option 100%.

Saw him play a few times last season one game in particular when Partick were up 3-0 at half time and the Motherwell CB's totally couldn't handle him, don't think he'd score us 20+ goals but he'd bring people into the game and hold up the ball which is what we desperately need.

Conor Sammon been told he can leave Hearts, good hold up play but extremely ugly?? Thoughts

I would 100% take him, would give is a different dimension and from what I seen on Saturday, that is something we could be doing with.

Also appears to be up for advertising Papa Johns if required.

Hard to say. Would certainly carry a whiff of the Houston’s style of signing.

Might be inspired, and give the guy a swan song season, but equally, could just be case of “aye, Partick were right. He’s absolute gash.”

It's down a level, he's still a good age, he offers a physical presence that none of our current players would, and he'd be competing for a starting place rather than being a guaranteed first choice.  He got 10 in all competitions last season despite being in and out of a struggling team, it's perfectly feasible that he could turn that into 14-15 at our level.

I'd definitely take him.

There's a long list of reasons why we were relegated, Sammon would come way down the list. He'd be a decent signing at this level.

Does he have pointy elbows and does he know how to use them?

If so, we may have found our very own Shrek to play at 9.

He's good at holding the ball up for others to make runs off of him without being a complete battering ram of a striker. He's also deceptively quick, it's some sight seeing him knock the ball past a defender and beating them comfortably for pace.

Out of the games we played against Championship opposition last season he had a shocker against Livi as did most of the team but he bullied the Queens defence and ended up with a couple of goals when we played there in the cup.
